We’re looking forward to introducing you to Tamara Dolcè . Check out our conversation below.
Tamara , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I am being called now to help others & be my authentic self, speak truth, seek wisdom and understanding, and follow my inner voice.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Tamara. I’m a dreamer and creative director of all things, my life, and more specifically- my business LaDolceVida LLC.
I started my company at the beginning of the C-pandemic, and it consisted of luxury eye lashes. After glamming several faces, we pivoted, and transitioned to not just eyelashes, but custom clothing and apparel. Then we shook it up a little bit again & began reselling sustainable fashion and gently used clothing.
While that’s been successful, through all of life’s changes, I’ve added health & wellness to the market. I began my weight-loss journey in April of 2024 and set out regain my confidence, strength, and energy. So far I’ve released 85 pounds, which sparked a lot of questions and comments from my customers, friends, and social media following. All of which led me to create an online community & workbook called- The Vitality Program: Walk, Breathe, Stretch; that consists of affirmations, posture, stretching, breathing, and walking paces that pair with a powerful 12-week walking schedule to help people release weight by walking for exercise. My coaching program allows for accountability check-ins, nutrition plans and meal menus, as well as adjustments to the walking workout plan, and one on one sessions with me! I’ve also created a mocktail and detox drink recipe book for my sober curious folks that I’ve affectionately named “SkinnySip Formulas”.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
The person that taught me the most about work was my older brother David. He is 5 years older than me, and I can remember him having jobs back in the 90s. He always had all the cool clothes, shoes, cellphones, and a car before his all of his friends. Looking at him now, he’s close to early retirement in his 40s. That’s putting in the work.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, my older sister Tarah passed away in 2017. I fell into a very hard downward spiral. There were negatives sides of me that I don’t believe I would have ever uncovered or changed, if she wouldn’t have passed on so soon and unexpectedly. It shook me in a major way.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The project I’m taking on now, is the healthy version of myself. I stopped drinking alcohol last year and told myself that I would heal all the things that hurt. I was going to find a way back to my good vibes, heal my knees, my lower back, my acne, fight back against my weight gain, decrease my stress levels, and lower my cortisol. I was all messed up inside and it was showing on the outside too.
So.. I started walking. And walking. And walking. And walking. And since, I have walked over 700 miles, minimized my body mass by 18 inches and have released over 80 pounds. I am on a mission to lose 100 pounds, no matter how long it takes.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people tell the story of the heart I had. I hope people talk about the times I held space for them when they felt alone, the love I’ve shared, the favors I’ve provided, the prayers I’ve given to God for them. The laughs, the motivation, and the belief in them for any of their endeavors. I hope people remember how much I poured into them, even when I was empty.
