Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaden Tranum.
Hi Kaden, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Tranum Graphics started as a reflection of who I am and how I see the world. I have always been drawn to creativity in design, visuals, and storytelling. From an early age, I found purpose in creating things that helped others communicate their ideas more clearly. What began as small design projects quickly became something deeper, a realization that design isn’t just about aesthetics, but about connection, clarity, and impact.
As Tranum Graphics grows, so do I in the creative world. Building this business has taught me discipline, humility, and the value of relationships. I have learned how to listen closely to clients, understand their vision, and translate it into something tangible through branding, graphics, digital media, or visual storytelling. At the same time, my personal journey shaped my company’s values. Faith, family, and a strong work ethic grounded me, reminding me that success isn’t just measured by growth, but by integrity and service.
Today, Tranum Graphics represents the intersection of creativity and purpose. It’s a business built on trust, craftsmanship, and the belief that every brand has a story worth telling. Looking back, the path here wasn’t accidental, it was shaped by persistence, learning through obstacles, and a commitment to creating work that genuinely helps people and organizations move forward.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most creative businesses, Tranum Graphics was built through a lot of trial, error, and persistence. In the early stages, one of the biggest challenges was simply wearing every hat: designer, marketer, accountant, and salesperson, while still trying to produce high-quality work. There were moments of uncertainty, long nights, and projects that didn’t go as planned, all of which tested both my confidence and patience.
Another challenge was learning how to grow without losing the heart of the business. As opportunities increased, I had to be intentional about setting boundaries, refining processes, and making decisions about the business. Balancing creativity with the realities of running a business was a constant learning curve.
On a personal level, self-doubt was often the quiet struggle, questioning whether I was good enough, experienced enough, or ready for the next steps. But those challenges forced growth. Each obstacle sharpened my skills, strengthened my faith, and clarified my purpose. Looking back, the struggles weren’t setbacks, they were necessary steps that shaped both Tranum Graphics and who I am as a leader and creator today.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Tranum Graphics helps people and organizations tell their story clearly and creatively. My work spans over Graphic Design, Website Development & Design, Digital Media, Photography, Videography, and Custom Product Printing. What I really specialize in is translation, turning ideas, visions, and missions into visuals that connect with real people.
Tranum Graphics has been recognized by regional and national publications for its creative work and entrepreneurial journey, I’ve personally been featured for my leadership and design approach in outlets highlighting emerging creatives and business owners. Tranum Graphics also received a 2025 Global Recognition award for outstanding design work and client satisfaction.
Tranum Graphics has supported small businesses, nonprofits, schools, churches, and growing brands, many of whom credit my creative partnership with helping them gain clarity, credibility, and momentum. Those recognitions are meaningful, but what matters most is the trust clients place in me and the longevity of those relationships.
What I’m most proud of is building a business that reflects integrity, consistency, and care. Tranum Graphics isn’t built on trends. it’s built on listening, craftsmanship, and doing things the right way, even when it takes longer. Personally, I’m proud of growing as both a creative and a leader, learning how to balance vision with execution and creativity with discipline.
What sets me apart is that blend of creativity and strategy. I approach design with both an artistic eye and a business mindset, ensuring the work not only looks good, but works. Every project is treated as a collaboration not a transaction. That mindset combined with faith, work ethic, and a genuine investment in the people I serve is what has allowed Tranum Graphics to stand out and continue growing with purpose.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I’m very intentional about the resources I let shape my thinking, because creativity, leadership, and faith are all deeply influenced by what you consistently consume.
Books have been especially formative. Leaders Eat Last had a major impact on how I approach leadership both in business and in life. It reinforced the idea that true leadership is about service, trust, and creating environments where people feel valued and protected. That mindset has directly influenced how I work with clients and collaborators at Tranum Graphics.
Podcasts and long-form conversations are another source of inspiration. Shows like How I Built This have been encouraging reminders that most success stories are built through perseverance, missteps, and resilience behind the scenes.
I’m also in the process of launching my own faith-based podcast for creatives: CALLED TO CREATE. It’s designed for people working in design, media, photography, videography, and other creative fields who are navigating both their craft and their calling. The goal is to have honest conversations about creativity, faith, discipline, and purpose. The goal is to remind creators that what they make matters, but who God created you to be matters even more.
Ultimately, the resources that help me most are the ones that sharpen my thinking, deepen my faith, and keep me grounded in purpose. Whether it’s a book, a conversation, or quiet time away from screens, staying intentional has been key to doing my best work both creatively and personally.
