Today we’d like to introduce you to Yisrael Wright.
Yisrael, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I come from a beauty industry background as well as an entrepreneurial family. The way I look at it is business, education, and speaking have been instilled in me from a very young age unconsciously. I had a serious interest in basketball and knew that I would make a career of it but I lost the love and didn’t enjoy playing the higher up I went to collegiate sports. Luckily I went to school and received an associate focused in business and marketing. After graduating from Highland Community College in Freeport, IL (my hometown) I brought my business mind & hard work mentality Atlanta. My mother has lived her for years. In fact, I lived here for 2 years during 8th and 9th grade. (02’-03’).
In 2012 when I moved back I had a new attitude and a new mindset. I attended and in 2014 graduated from ProWay Hair School a private institution that opened up my eyes and allowed me to create the Yizclusive brand. These last 4 years I’ve been educating myself on another level to the point where I’m actually teaching and educating other barbers from across the country with a program I developed called “Yizclusive Next Level Learning”, where we use motivation, inspiration, and education to shift barbers minds and increase effectiveness and efficiency in their businesses. Going from the traditional barber to a Men’s grooming specialist.
Also during this time, I wrote and self-published my first book, Entrepreneur: what I wish they would’ve told me! It’s looking into the 12 key intangibles of entrepreneurship.
Through writing this book I was able to create a movement for other entrepreneurs while putting together a book release party bringing together new, aspiring, and veteran entrepreneurs from all over. The book has allowed me to get into speaking whether it’s high schools, middle schools, or barber colleges hair schools or business workshops.
I’m currently a salon suite owner at my salon suite in Buckhead, Atlanta at the Brookwood Condominiums suite 406, “The Yizclusive Experience “, where I offer a myriad of men’s grooming services: facials, Signature haircuts, ingrown hair removal, exfoliating scalp treatments. High-Quality color services, and more and will soon be transitioning into expansion to take my business and other barbers business to that next level! This past fall/winter I was blessed with an opportunity to the Head Barber for Atlanta Season 2 “Robbin Season” written, directed, and acted by Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino. An amazing experience and I learned so much in 3 months its unreal.
I’m continuously working to add more to my resume and I’m sure there is something I’m missing or forgetting but I do A LOT to push myself and my industry forward. I am a father, not currently married but in a relationship with my daughter’s mother who is also an entrepreneur and Photographer @demi.digitals. We are setting the foundation for our daughter to have a head start in whatever she wants to do!
Has it been a smooth road?
Of course, it’s been a struggle, entrepreneurship is a struggle! Ups and downs, emotionally, physically, mentally tolling. Losing friends and family along the way, financially starting out and the balance & discipline you have to maintain to consistently invest and reinvest in yourself. I turn the obstacles and adversity into motivation and it allows me too.
Go harder because I understand life is going to happen which means you’re going to be challenged daily it’s all about how you handle it.

Full-time entrepreneur. My business has several layers and levels which allow me to leverage my talents and interest. I have built a great reputation with my clients and I’m trusted in my industry to provide accurate information and inspire others to pushed themselves to unimaginable places. All and all I’m a business and the Yizclusive brand is growing on the daily.
I’m proud of my network of friends and clients who are making an impact across the world! They sit in my chair or purchase my book or brag about my accomplishments which means I’m able to have a positive influence internationally whether I’m there or not!
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The beauty industry, as well as the technology industry, are moving at an incredible rate! 5 years from prices, standards, and business mentality will change and shift.
Unfortunately, many barbers don’t understand they’re worth and add undercharging and underperforming. I can already see the positive push and dries my industry is taking understanding it influence and leaving it’s Mark in today’s society.
