Hi Freedom, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, and moved to Georgia when I was 7 years old. My journey into beauty began in 2015 after seeing Kim Kardashian’s viral “baking” makeup moment which inspired me to try it on myself . and from that moment, I truly believe makeup chose me. What started as curiosity grew into a career, a brand, and a purpose. Today, I’m your favs favorite celebrity makeup artist, serial entrepreneur, and mentor to aspiring artists who want to turn their talent into a business. I’m expanding my vision with the launch of my luxury makeup brush line, bringing the same quality and artistry I’ve used on celebrity faces to beauty lovers everywhere. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I’m even more excited about what’s next.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I started from very humble beginnings, and the road to where I am today has been filled nothing short of obstacles, lessons, and growth. The biggest challenge I had to overcome wasn’t the industry, it was getting out of my own way.

There were times when I had to face my own fears, and tussle with my own self-doubt, and the limits I placed on myself. I had the talent, the vision, and the passion, but I had to learn how to truly believe in myself and move with confidence.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My name is Freedom On The Beat, I’m been an a professional makeup artist for 11yrs and if you watch TV, you’ve probably already seen my work before you’ve seen my name.

I’ve had the opportunity to glam some of the biggest names in entertainment, including 50 Cent, Nene Leakes, Niecy Nash, Latto, Saucy Santana, Natalie Nunn, Carlos King, Drew Sidora and many more. From red carpets and reality TV to productions, from Atlanta, Hollywood hills to Dubai my artistry has traveled far beyond Atlanta. Whether I’m working with your favorite celebrity or your favorite home girl, every face gets the same level of consistency and excellence.

What sets me apart is that, while building my own legacy in Beauty, I’m also helping the next generation build theirs. I coach aspiring Makeup Artists on how to break into the beauty industry, and turn their personality & talent into a profitable business. I want people to know there’s room for all of us at the table.

What I’m most proud of is that I’m just getting started. Every opportunity has been a stepping stone, not the finish line. My goal isn’t just to become one of the biggest names in beauty, it’s to leave a legacy, open doors for others, and prove that with consistency, faith, and hard work, your gift will make room for you !

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
In my opinion, the beauty industry is constantly evolving. Having someone in your corner who can help guide, support, and navigate is priceless.

If I could leave you with one piece of advice, it would be this: Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Don’t compare your journey to someone else’s. And most importantly, don’t be afraid to invest in yourself.
