Daily Inspiration: Meet Maleeka Alease

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maleeka Alease.

Hi Maleeka, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
People often see the books, the speaking engagements, or the self-reflection experiences first, but my journey really began with learning how to sit with my own story.

I’ve always been drawn to people and their stories. Before becoming an author and self-reflection facilitator, I worked in roles centered around helping others, and over time I realized that many of us know how to keep moving but don’t always know how to pause and honestly check in with ourselves. My own seasons of growth, faith, heartbreak, healing, and travel became some of my greatest teachers.

What started as writing eventually grew into Nvoke Productions, the creative home for my books, journals, and transformational experiences. From there, God gave me the vision for Let Me H.E.A.L. You Something which stands for Hope, Edification, And Love. What began as intimate conversations rooted in transparency and reflection has grown into workshops, speaking engagements, and guided experiences designed to help people reconnect with who they are beneath the titles, expectations, and noise of everyday life.

Today, my work brings together everything I’ve experienced. writing, storytelling, speaking, faith, wellness, and intentional reflection. Whether someone picks up one of my journals or attends one of my sessions, my hope is always the same: that they leave with greater clarity, deeper self-awareness, and the courage to become who they were created to be.

As I continue to grow, I’m excited to expand that vision through future retreat experiences that blend travel, wellness, faith, and intentional self-reflection. My desire has never been to simply create events, but to create spaces where people can pause, heal, reconnect, and leave transformed.

Looking back, I realize my career hasn’t been about chasing one title. It’s been about following purpose, one faithful step at a time, and creating spaces where people feel seen, challenged, and inspired to grow.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and honestly, I wouldn’t want to tell the story that way because so much of my purpose was born in the difficult seasons.

One of my biggest challenges has been learning to trust God’s timing over my own. There have been moments where I questioned whether I was equipped enough, seasons where I poured into others while quietly navigating my own healing, and times when the vision in my heart didn’t yet match what I could see in front of me. Building something purpose-driven can be lonely. There isn’t always a blueprint, and sometimes obedience means taking the next step before you know where the entire path leads. Ironically, many of the moments that challenged me the most became the very experiences that now allow me to connect with others authentically. I don’t facilitate self-reflection because I’ve mastered life, I facilitate it because I understand what it means to wrestle with hard questions, seek healing, and keep choosing growth. Those experiences didn’t disqualify me; they prepared me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At the heart of my work, I create spaces for people to pause long enough to hear themselves again and, ultimately, hear God more clearly.

I am an author, self reflection facilitator, speaker, and the founder of Nvoke Productions, where I create books, journals, workshops, and transformational experiences centered around my framework, Let Me H.E.A.L. You Something, which stands for Hope, Edification, And Love. Everything I create is designed to move people beyond inspiration and into intentional reflection that leads to meaningful action.

What I specialize in is not simply motivating people. I create experiences that help people ask the questions they have been avoiding. Whether I am facilitating a room of women, speaking to an organization, or guiding someone through one of my journals, my goal is to create an environment where honesty becomes the starting point for transformation.

What I am most proud of is not a title or an accomplishment. It is hearing someone say, “I have never looked at myself this way before,” or, “I finally gave myself permission to heal.” Those moments remind me that this work has always been about people, not platforms.

I believe what sets me apart is that I do not separate faith from self reflection. I do not believe transformation comes from positive thinking alone. I believe it happens when we invite God into the process, allow Him to reveal what is beneath the surface, and then respond with courage. I also believe transparency bridges the gap. I never ask people to go somewhere emotionally that I am unwilling to go myself, and I believe that creates spaces where people feel safe enough to be honest.

As my work continues to grow, I look forward to expanding that vision through future retreats that bring together faith, wellness, travel, and intentional self reflection. My hope is that every person who encounters my work leaves with greater clarity, deeper purpose, and the confidence to become who God created them to be.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
I love partnering with individuals, organizations, churches, schools, and businesses that value personal growth, intentional leadership, and authentic connection. Whether it is through speaking engagements, self reflection workshops, facilitated experiences, or future retreats, my desire is always the same, to create spaces where people feel seen, challenged, and encouraged to grow.

I am also always open to collaborating with brands and organizations whose values align with faith, wellness, education, travel, and community impact. I believe some of the most meaningful work happens when people come together with a shared purpose.

For those who want to support what I do, one of the greatest ways is simply by engaging with the work. Read a book, gift a journal to someone who needs encouragement, invite me to speak, partner on a project, or share the message with someone who could benefit from it. Every conversation, every connection, and every opportunity to serve helps extend the mission.

More than anything, I hope the work reminds people that transformation is possible. Sometimes all it takes is one honest conversation, one intentional question, or one moment of reflection to change the direction of a life.
