Today we’d like to introduce you to Lily Collins-Sak (Founder Of The Daily Pilates) And Reine Cook (Owner Of The Daily Pilates East Cobb Studio).
Hi Lily and Reine, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Lily:
For me, the journey to founding The Daily Pilates started after graduating from Arizona State with a degree in Exercise Science. I moved back home to Atlanta and immersed myself in the fitness industry. I worked as a personal trainer, physical therapy technician, and Pilates instructor at homes, clinics, and gyms. Each role taught me something different about the body, movement, recovery, and what people actually need to feel stronger and more confident.
The more I learned, the more I found myself blending it all together. I started fusing the strength training principles I loved, the movement education I gained from physical therapy, and the precision of Pilates into my own style of programming. At the time, there wasn’t anything quite like it in Atlanta.
That idea eventually became The Daily Pilates. I wanted to create more than just a workout, I wanted to create an experience. A studio that felt elevated but welcoming, where clients could expect thoughtful programming, beautiful spaces, and instructors who genuinely educate and empower them in every class.
Reine:
Meanwhile, for myself, I found The Daily Pilates at the Milton studio location. From my very first class, I knew it was different. It was the first time I felt completely at peace while also feeling challenged in all the right ways. I left every class feeling stronger, but what made the biggest impact was how I felt mentally. The more time I spent there, the more I fell in love with the experience. It wasn’t just the workout, it was the environment, the community, and the intention behind everything they did. I found myself wishing East Cobb had a place that made people feel this way.
When the opportunity came to open The Daily Pilates in East Cobb, it felt like everything came together. It combined a dream I’d had of owning a business with something that had genuinely changed my life. Today, I get to create that same experience for others, and seeing someone walk out of class feeling stronger, more confident, and proud of themselves is the most rewarding part.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Lily :
Every stage of building The Daily Pilates has come with new opportunities to learn and grow, and I truly believe that’s one of the most rewarding parts of entrepreneurship. As we’ve expanded, we’ve been intentional about growing without losing what made people fall in love with the brand in the first place. That has meant investing time in training and development, ensuring every studio delivers a consistent and thoughtful experience our clients know and trust.
One lesson that’s guided us from day one is that trends will always come and go, but quality never goes out of style. We’ve stayed committed to science-backed programming, intentional movement, and creating a welcoming environment where every client feels seen and supported. While taking the slower, more intentional path isn’t always the easiest, it’s allowed us to build a brand with a strong reputation, an incredible community, and a foundation we’re proud to continue growing for years to come.
Reine:
Opening a franchise has definitely been one of the biggest risks I’ve ever taken, and it certainly hasn’t been a perfectly smooth road. Entrepreneurship runs in my family, even my husband owns his own business, and I’ve always admired the courage it takes to build something from the ground up. Deep down, I always felt drawn to becoming a business owner myself, but for years I didn’t know what that would look like.
I’ve spent nearly 15 years building a career in Human Resources, and while I genuinely love that work, opening The Daily Pilates in my neighborhood has allowed me to pursue a completely different passion. Balancing both careers has required long days, plenty of sacrifice, and a lot of support from my family, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding.
Like any new business, there have been moments of uncertainty, difficult decisions, and learning curves.
But every challenge has reinforced why I started. Seeing our members become stronger, more confident, and genuinely excited to come to class reminds me that the hard work has been worth it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about The Daily Pilates?
In Georgia, our studios are located in Inman Park, Buckhead, Vinings, Perimeter, East Cobb, and Milton. All locations offer our signature Pilates reformer classes, with Buckhead and Milton also offering Cadillac Pilates and Infrared Hot Mat Pilates for clients looking to experience different styles of movement.
Beyond the class types, what we’re truly known for is our approach to movement education. We’ve incorporated somatic cueing into our instructor education, teaching clients to feel the movement and connect with their bodies rather than simply counting reps. Our goal is to create an experience that strengthens the body while also helping clients feel more present, confident, and connected.
Every studio is thoughtfully designed to feel calming and elevated, with a strong focus on form, alignment, and growth. We’re incredibly proud to have been recognized as Best of Atlanta and Best of Georgia for over a decade, but our greatest accomplishment is the community we’ve built. Seeing clients of all ages and fitness levels walk through our doors and leave feeling stronger, more empowered, and better both physically and mentally is what makes The Daily Pilates a true local gem.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Lily:
Every major milestone in The Daily Pilates journey has required a thoughtful leap of faith, from opening our first studio, investing in creating an elevated and unique Pilates experience, and eventually taking the step to franchise the brand.
Looking back, some of the biggest moments of growth came from trusting that vision and staying committed to our values, even when the path wasn’t always certain. I’ve learned that when you build with purpose, listen to your community, and consistently deliver an experience you believe in, growth follows naturally.
The greatest reward has been seeing an idea that started as a passion become a brand that positively impacts thousands of people every day.
Reine:
Opening The Daily Pilates in East Cobb meant stepping outside of the career I’d spent nearly 15 years building in Human Resources and believing that I could create something completely different. It took faith, hard work, and an incredible support system. My family believed in me before I fully believed in myself, and that made all the difference.
Taking risks doesn’t guarantee success, but it creates the opportunity for growth.
Looking back, I’m so grateful I chose to take that leap because it has allowed me to build a business that aligns with my values, serves my community, and reminds me every day that the most meaningful things in life often begin just outside of our comfort zone.
