Meet Tyannia Shelton of Yesss Cheesecakes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyannia Shelton.

Tyannia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
During the pandemic, this creative mama started baking to satisfy her family sweet tooth. They enjoyed them to its entirety, so I decided to sale them. Enjoying the journey while baking part-time, many styles of cheesecakes were created. Whole, bundt, and square and heart. I even attempted to place my delicious cream cheese filing into strawberries. As of February 2026, I have decided to continue my love of creating “JOY” full-time. From the beginning name of Shonda’s Cheesecakes was creatively changed to “YESSS Cheesecakes”. The name given by my husband. With each bite we take pride in each customers being pleased with our delectable desserts. From dancing to joyfully laughing, they have said “YESSS”!! “YESSS to our popular cupcakes or our loaf-style cheesecakes. It’s definitely a sweet treat you will not forget.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s haven’t been a smooth road, but I am very persistent. Building from starch and learning along the way. People have to learn my brand and understand my “WHY”! . Receiving funding hasn’t currently been a success.
I have applied for multiple grants and hopefully I receive a “YESSS”!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Yesss Cheesecakes?
A native of Atlanta who enjoys a delicious dessert. My family would say I am very picky and opinionated. I am very passionate about giving people what they want. I believe you shouldn’t sale anything you wouldn’t eat. My business is very personal and take pride in selling 5 star desserts to each customer. I don’t just bake, I create “JOY”!!

I am proud of the trust I have build with my customers. They are very persistent regarding my next location.

I never imagine that I would create an income from baking.
