Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffanie Christian.
Hi Tiffanie , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m from Sylvania, Georgia, a small town in Screven County, and I’ve been involved in softball since I could pick up a bat and throw a ball. I was a four-year starter in high school and was fortunate enough to earn a scholarship to the University of North Georgia, where I also became a four-year starter at shortstop. One of the greatest highlights of my playing career was helping our team win a National Championship during my senior season and earning All-Tournament Team honors.
After my playing career ended, I knew I still wanted to contribute to the game. I wanted to help young girls develop their physical skills while also giving them the tools and confidence to navigate the mental side of softball. I began by coaching a recreational team for one season and then spent five years coaching with two different travel-ball organizations.
Through coaching, I realized that training was my true passion. I loved having the opportunity to work closely with athletes, understand their individual needs, and support them throughout their personal journeys. That passion ultimately led me to start PRO Diamond, and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not always been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges was learning how to transition from being a coach and trainer into becoming a business owner. I had to teach myself how to manage scheduling, finances, communication, marketing, and the many responsibilities that happen behind the scenes—all while continuing to give each athlete the attention they deserve.
As PRO Diamond has grown, another challenge has been learning how to expand without losing the personal connection and high standard of training that the program was built on. I care deeply about every athlete and their development, so learning to delegate and trust others with my vision has required growth from me as a leader.
There have also been moments of uncertainty and self-doubt, but those experiences have made me more resilient, adaptable, and confident in my purpose. Every obstacle has taught me something valuable and helped shape PRO Diamond into the program it is today.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
PRO Diamond provides individualized softball instruction for athletes ages 6–18 through one-on-one sessions, small-group training, and team training. We specialize in helping athletes improve their mechanics, confidence, approach, and overall understanding of the game. While physical development is important, we also place a strong emphasis on the mental side of softball, helping athletes manage pressure, respond to failure, and trust the work they have put in.
What sets PRO Diamond apart is the personal connection we build with every athlete. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every athlete has different goals, challenges, learning styles, and personalities, so we meet them where they are while holding them accountable to where they want to go. We want each athlete to feel supported, challenged, and genuinely known.
I am proud that PRO Diamond has grown from a personal passion into a program that has served more than 70 athletes. Our athletes have earned college scholarships, All-Region, All-County, All-State, and Player of the Year honors. However, I am most proud of the confidence they develop and the relationships we build along the way. Seeing an athlete begin to believe in herself, both on and off the field, is the most rewarding part of what I do.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I believe the best coaches remain students of the game, so I am always looking for opportunities to learn. I gravitate toward books, podcasts, and digital content focused on leadership, mindset, personal development, and business ownership. I also use social media intentionally to study drills, hear different coaching perspectives, and stay connected to how the game continues to evolve.
However, I never adopt something simply because it is popular. I consider whether it aligns with my coaching philosophy and whether it will genuinely benefit my athletes. Some of my most valuable lessons have also come through conversations with other coaches, parents, and the athletes themselves. Their experiences continually challenge me to listen, adapt, and become a better coach, mentor, and business owner.
