Today we’d like to introduce you to Hasaan Sanders.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m originally from New Jersey, and my journey has been anything but ordinary. I began pursuing modeling in New Jersey in 2009 and regularly traveled to New York City to participate in fashion shows and modeling opportunities until the pandemic. After eventually making Atlanta my home, my journey continued to evolve into entertainment, entrepreneurship, travel, and content creation.

In 2019, I began pursuing acting and doing background work in television and film, while continuing to work and build my career. I’ve also spent time working as a restaurant server, which has taught me a lot about hard work, people, and perseverance while I continued pursuing my bigger goals.

Outside of my entrepreneurial pursuits, I have also been involved in the LGBTQ ballroom community for more than a decade, an experience that has played an important role in my confidence, self-expression, creativity, and connection to community.

In 2021, I started Sanders Travel and turned my love for travel into a business. Since then, I’ve continued exploring opportunities in travel, entertainment, modeling, acting, writing, and content creation.

I’ve experienced plenty of challenges and changes along the way, but each chapter has taught me something about myself and the life I want to build. Today, I’m focused on becoming more intentional about my future, growing my businesses, developing my creative career, and turning the many ideas I’ve carried for years into something real.

I’m still writing my story, but I’m finally at a point where I’m not just dreaming about my future—I’m actively building it.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced has been financial stability. There have been periods when I’ve had to make difficult decisions, adjust my plans, and figure out how to keep moving forward while pursuing my personal and professional goals.

I’ve also experienced a lot of changes when it comes to employment. I’ve worked different jobs, including restaurant serving, while continuing to pursue modeling, acting, travel, and entrepreneurship. At times, balancing work and my long-term goals has been challenging, especially when I’ve had to prioritize immediate financial needs over the bigger vision I have for myself.

Those experiences haven’t always been easy, but they have taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of continuing to move forward even when things don’t happen on my timeline. I’m learning to view those challenges as part of my journey rather than something that defines me.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Sanders Travel is a travel business I founded in 2021 with a simple mission: to help people navigate the world with confidence and create travel experiences they will remember. I specialize in customized vacations, resorts, cruises, hotels, villas, theme-park vacations, and other domestic and international travel experiences.

What sets Sanders Travel apart is the personal attention I give to my clients. I don’t want people to feel like they are simply making a reservation through a website. I want them to have someone they can come to for guidance, questions, and help throughout the planning process. I take the time to understand what a client is looking for and help match them with options that fit their vision.

I am also continuously working to expand my knowledge of the travel industry. I’ve earned certifications and specialized training with brands including Disney, Universal, and United Parks, and I continue seeking opportunities to learn about destinations, resorts, cruises, and travel experiences so I can better serve my clients.

What I am most proud of brand-wise is that Sanders Travel has continued to grow since I started it in 2021. I’ve been able to turn my passion for travel into a real business and continue developing it into a recognizable brand with a vision for the future.

What matters most to me is creating a life and a career that I can be proud of while being able to help other people along the way. I’ve always wanted to build something of my own, and Sanders Travel has given me an opportunity to turn my passion for travel into a business and a brand with a purpose.

I believe people deserve the opportunity to experience life beyond their everyday surroundings—to travel, make memories, celebrate milestones, and discover places they may have only dreamed about visiting. Being able to help someone turn that dream into an actual trip means a lot to me.

On a personal level, growth also matters tremendously to me. I’m constantly learning, trying new things, meeting new people, and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. I want Sanders Travel to grow, but I also want to grow alongside it. For me, success isn’t just about how big the business becomes; it’s about building something authentic that represents who I am and gives other people the confidence to go after the experiences and opportunities they want in life.
