Hi Danee, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into beauty content creation really started with my love for creativity. I’ve always been someone who enjoyed expressing myself, and makeup became one of the ways I could do that. What started as something I genuinely enjoyed slowly turned into something much bigger for me.

I began creating content centered around makeup, wigs, creative looks, tutorials, and transitions. In the beginning, I was just having fun and sharing what I loved. I didn’t have a huge audience or a clear blueprint for where I was going I was really learning as I went.

The process of being a beauty content creator has definitely had its ups and downs. There have been times when I questioned myself, felt discouraged, or wondered if I was making any progress. But I kept creating. I think that persistence has been one of the biggest parts of my story.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There have been a lot of highs and lows along the way. Building something for yourself can be exciting, but it can also be frustrating when you’re putting in the work and not seeing the results you hoped for right away.

I’ve had moments where I questioned whether I was on the right path, especially when it came to growing my audience and figuring out how to turn my creativity into something sustainable. There have also been times when life outside of content creation made it difficult to stay motivated and consistent.

But I think those challenges have been just as important as the successes. They’ve taught me patience, resilience, and not to measure my progress solely by numbers or how quickly things are happening.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a beauty content creator and creative storyteller behind DaneeOnDaBeat. I specialize in makeup, wigs, beauty transformations, creative makeup looks, tutorials, and makeup transitions. I’m known for being creative and not being afraid to step outside of the box. I want people to see my personality and creativity in what I create.

What I’m most proud of is the fact that I’ve continued building my platform from the ground up. I’ve had opportunities to work with brands, receive PR, earn commissions from my content, and grow an audience that genuinely enjoys what I create.

For me, beauty is really about confidence, creativity, and being able to express yourself without feeling like you have to fit into one box. That’s what I hope people feel when they come across my content. I want people to feel like they’re getting Danee, not a version of someone else.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Putting myself out there and allowing myself to be seen was the greatest risk. I had to be willing to put myself out there even when my audience wasn’t where I wanted it to be, when opportunities weren’t coming as quickly as I hoped, and when I didn’t necessarily feel confident that I was doing everything right. Choosing to continue creating during those moments was a risk because it would have been much easier to give up or convince myself that it wasn’t going anywhere. Even though I’m still on that journey, I’m grateful I took the chance because some of the opportunities I’m experiencing today started with simply being willing to try.
