Community Highlights: Meet Happiness Nwozuzu of Faith Healthcare Academy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Happiness Nwozuzu.

Hi Happiness, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started working in healthcare in 2020, at the height of the pandemic. Even amid all the trials and tribulations, I knew I had a passion to help people. After achieving many of my educational and career goals, I knew it was time to pivot that passion into entrepreneurship — which led to Faith Healthcare Academy. Faith Healthcare Academy is a healthcare training school offering CPR courses, Certified Medication Aide courses, and more courses to come.

For years, I thought about how I could continue to serve my passion while also being a businesswoman. One day, the idea of offering certifications came to me. Not only would it provide supplemental income, but it would also give people a stepping stone toward their next job and their next step in their career. I wanted to be the liaison — not just offering certifications, but mentorship and guidance along the way.

Today, Faith Healthcare Academy’s motto stands true: “To Give Care and Gift Compassion to All.”

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road is not always smooth, but that does not mean it is impassable. I had failures and setbacks of all sorts. But, I never gave up. I did not get scared when I failed, and that mindset help me shift to continue to pursue my dreams. It may sound cliché, but you truly have to take it day-by-day. I truly believe that I am in my best mindset and version of myself to pursue opening a whole academy. I feel as if I tried to pursue this goal when I was younger, I probably would of surcame to failure or simply not executing my idea because of the magnititude of the plan. God always has a way for you to be ready in your season.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Faith Healthcare Academy (was previously Nurse Happiness Health and Education LLC) started in 2023 when I was doing CPR courses for nursing students. Eventually, I grew to do courses for any common person and even at major universities. Faith Healthcare Academy now offers multiple CPR courses and Certified Medication Aide program for already practicing Certified Nursing Assistants. I been in healthcare for a little over six years and have experience ranging from critical care, behavioral health, education, and leadership. I am prepared to help students reach the next level in their careers. Healthcare has blessed me to bless others and also supported my lifestyle in more ways than possible. I want to show people that you can have a healthy and balanced lifestyle by going into healthcare. The field does come with challenges, but it is rewarding in many ways more than possible. Anyway looking to be student of Faith Healthcare Academy is welcomed with opened arms and will receive lessons from my expertise, and mentorship as well.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see healthcare and technology meshing together to make pivotal changes in medicine and mental health care. There are so many changes occuring every day. However, my main focus is to see accessible to these services that I hope to be a part of and see more of in the future.
