Conversations with Rachel Shahen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Shahen.

Hi Rachel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was on a journey to help my mother find a solution to ongoing autoimmune related respiratory complications. That journey found Halotherapy. It helped my mother in a way that traditional medicine could not. So, I began my studies on Halotherapy. I found a plethora of benefits! I then knew it was something others needed as well. Especially living in such a diverse allergy climate such as Chattanooga and this southern region. I now focus on a multitude of alternative therapies. Such as Halotherapy, PEMF, Red light, Sound Healing through frequencies.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not! I went through 3 contractors, divorce, lost my home and had a 1-year-old at the time. It got crazy!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Firstly, we are the first and only active salt cave in our city. Secondly, I have continued to grow in alternative therapies. I am now a “Sound Sanctuary” I’ve always been musically inclined, but being in this industry introduced me to Sound Baths. Now, we are the “go to” for Sound Therapy. Paired inside our cavern is an out of this world experience.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Healing people. Quality of life matters. We weren’t just put here to “survive” I’ve watched my mother simply “survive” without enjoying life. I wanted her and now others to “live” and not just “survive”
