Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Mims.

Hi Tiffany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been a creative person, but everything changed in 2018 during my own spiritual journey. I wanted my outward appearance to reflect who I was becoming, so I started making jewelry inspired by culture, spirituality, and natural materials like crystals and copper. What began as a creative outlet quickly turned into a business after people started asking to buy my pieces.

Within weeks, I knew I had found my passion and made the leap to pursue jewelry full-time. Since then, I’ve built Bead It Wear It Love It into a full-time business with over 100,000 orders shipped across multiple platforms, including more than 50,000 Etsy sales. Every step has been self-funded and driven by my passion for creating meaningful jewelry that helps people feel beautiful, confident, culturally connected, and supported on their personal journey.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has made me a better entrepreneur. Balancing motherhood while running a full-time business has been one of my biggest accomplishments. As the first entrepreneur in my family, I’ve had to learn almost everything through experience, from finances and marketing to inventory management and customer service.

I’ve also dealt with having my designs and product photos copied by other sellers, which can be discouraging as a handmade artist. Instead of letting those setbacks stop me, I’ve continued to innovate, expand my product line, and focus on providing quality and excellent customer service. Even after nearly eight years in business, I’m still learning, growing, and finding new ways to improve every day.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a handmade jewelry designer who specializes in creating meaningful jewelry inspired by culture, spirituality, and self-expression. Over the years I’ve created thousands of pieces using techniques like wire wrapping, beadwork, chainmail, and even crochet. One thing I’ve never done is put myself in a box. I follow my creativity wherever it leads, whether that’s earrings, necklaces, loc jewelry, nose cuffs, body jewelry, or something completely new.

I think that’s what my customers appreciate most, they never know what I’m going to create next. I’ve had several products go viral over the years, from nose cuffs to loc jewelry and now my faux body jewelry collection. I’m also proud that I’ve built my business across multiple platforms instead of relying on just one, which has allowed me to ship over 100,000 orders to customers around the world.

What sets me apart is that I don’t chase trends, I create what genuinely inspires me. That freedom has helped me build a business that’s constantly evolving while staying true to who I am.

What does success mean to you?
To me, success isn’t about becoming the richest person in the room. It’s about building a life that fulfills you. I get to wake up every day and do what I genuinely love, and that’s something I’ll never take for granted.

I also believe success is learning from challenges instead of letting them define you. Every setback has taught me something that made me a better business owner and a better person. I don’t think the work is ever done. Success is continuing to grow, staying curious, and becoming a little better every day. I believe that when you focus on doing meaningful work and never give up, the financial success naturally follows.
