Daily Inspiration: Meet Kennedy Harris-Mann

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kennedy Harris-Mann.

Hi Kennedy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I learned at an early age that I would always be creative. I started making art my primary priority when my mother saw me sketch a potato and instantly realized that I would one day become a great artist. I constantly catch myself painting or sketching something. This made it possible for me to advance and begin selling my artwork. I began by selling locally on Etsy. I began to take our studies more seriously: ceramics, drawing, painting, etc. I even had one of my self-portraits displayed for my high school art showcase. which made me want to seek a career where I would be financially secure and free. I moved from just regular art to more interior design art, which is more tangible. Then it made me want to pursue something where I know I’d be financially stable and have financial freedom, in which I transitioned from just regular art towards more interior design art, so more like physical as well, but with a little visual that comes along

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been hard, balancing my creative freedoms and my day-to-day life specifically was school overlapping. It’s been pressuring me where I didn’t have the urge to make something even if I did have free time like I had a blockage for a year during high school by how stressful and busy I was until I got into college where I had more of that freedom and I got to actually pursue more of my art classes that give me that ability

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I work involving a lot of projects, I do a variety of arts. Physical and visual. I’m a full time student and I do Marching band as an hobbie 2-3 times a week. I do a lot of dance and hard techniques inside and outside of rehearsal, on top of that working a part-time job and I take art classes after finishing my main courses. I specialize in a variety of hard working areas involved with all of these, I’m a critical thinker, I’m known as creative, talkative and a fast learner. All of that helps me in my daily tasks and on the field. I feel like I set a standard sometimes by my consistency and drive to become better. If there no motivation, what purpose is there to strive for. I even got to expand my knowledge and travel out of the country for study abroad, regarding architecture, and culture of Spain during the summer 26. It really helped develop more of my knowledge regarding my career choice and hope for more opportunities
