Beyond the ordinary:
The Art Morgan Influence LLC was born out of a simple but powerful belief: knowledge shouldn’t be gatekept, and success should be accessible to those willing to work for it. I started this business because I saw too many talented creatives, entrepreneurs, and leaders struggling not because they lacked skill, but because they lacked guidance, clarity, and actionable tools.

Drawing on my experience in education, leadership, and community building, I created a business that blends strategic insight with real-world application. Every program, resource, and e-book is designed to teach.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like many entrepreneurs, the journey of building The Art Morgan Influence LLC has come with its share of challenges. One of the greatest obstacles has been balancing entrepreneurship while serving in public education and pursuing graduate studies. Building a brand from the ground up requires consistency, long hours, and a willingness to keep moving forward even when results are not immediate.

Another significant challenge has been navigating unexpected personal and health-related circumstances. Those experiences required me to reevaluate priorities, adapt my professional path, and learn how to lead while also taking care of myself. Rather than allowing those setbacks to define me, they became a source of purpose and strengthened my commitment to creating a business centered on education, leadership, advocacy, and community impact.
Like many small business owners, establishing credibility, expanding visibility, and developing strategic partnerships has also taken time. There were moments when I had to wear every hat-CEO, marketer, designer, strategist, and administrator-all while continuing to invest in professional development.

Those experiences taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of building systems that create long-term sustainability rather than chasing quick success.

Although the road has not always been smooth, every challenge has reinforced the mission behind The Art Morgan Influence LLC: to empower individuals through education, leadership, innovation, and service. Each obstacle has become an opportunity to grow, refine the vision, and build an organization that is positioned to make a lasting impact in schools, businesses, and communities.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my fondest childhood memories was growing up bicoastal between Griffin, Georgia, and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Looking back, I realize I was raised in two worlds that complemented one another beautifully. Georgia gave me deep roots, faith, family traditions, and an unwavering appreciation for Southern values. Hilton Head introduced me to coastal elegance, recreation, and a lifestyle centered around leisure, excellence, and quiet confidence. Together, they shaped the gentleman I strive to be today.
During the late 1990s and early 2000s, Hilton Head was already recognized as one of the South’s most distinguished coastal destinations. While many people associated the island with championship golf courses, world-class tennis, luxury resorts, and pristine beaches, those experiences became part of my childhood.

They weren’t extraordinary occasions to us they were family traditions that created some of my most treasured memories.
As a young African American boy, I did not fully understand how unique those experiences were. I grew up believing that spaces of excellence belonged to us as well. From oceanfront views, golf courses, tennis courts, bike rides, beneath centuries-old live oaks draped with Spanish moss, the Marina, and my grandparents residence along Folly Field Beach. Those moments were accompanied by conversations about family, education, etiquette, and the importance of carrying yourself with dignity regardless of the room you entered.

Hilton Head also exposed me to an inspiring community of African American professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, military officers, executives, and families who valued legacy as much as achievement. There was a quiet understanding among many of the Black families who vacationed there during that era. We appreciated excellence without needing to announce it. Success was reflected in the traditions we maintained, the respect we showed others, and the memories we created with those we loved.

Even today, our family continues those traditions. Each summer, we return to Hilton Head and stay at the Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort, where familiar ocean breezes and peaceful mornings instantly feel like home. One of my favorite traditions is dining at Broad Creek Seafood, where fresh local seafood and waterfront views perfectly capture the Lowcountry’s charm. I also never miss visiting my favorite store Knickers, while exploring Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina and Harbour Town. Those places represent more than beautiful scenery they represent consistency, tradition, and memories that span generations.

My upbringing taught me that refinement is never about excess. It is about character. It is found in handwritten thank-you notes, opening doors for others, respecting elders, dressing appropriately for every occasion, and understanding that your family name should always be spoken with honor. Those values were instilled in me long before I understood their significance.

I often say that I was raised to appreciate quality over quantity, experiences over possessions, and legacy over recognition. Whether I was in Griffin surrounded by generations of family history or walking the beaches of Hilton Head, I understood that I represented something greater than myself. My elders reminded me that being a gentleman meant serving others, remaining humble despite your accomplishments, and carrying yourself with grace in every setting.
Today, I proudly embrace the identity of a Southern gentleman.

My love for education, fashion, branding, leadership, and preserving family history all trace back to those early years. The traditions of Georgia and the timeless elegance of Hilton Head continue to influence how I live, lead, and serve. They remind me that the greatest inheritance is not measured in possessions, but in values, integrity, and a legacy that inspires the next generation.
