Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashlyn White.

Hi Ashlyn, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
If I had to describe where my journey began, I’d say it started with a simple love for creativity.

Growing up, I spent much of my time involved in church, participating in extracurricular activities, and finding creative projects to fill my free time. Whether I was helping with events, designing something for fun, or simply looking for new ways to express myself, I was always drawn to creating. Looking back, I didn’t realize it then, but those moments were laying the foundation for the person I would become.

As I got older, especially in high school, I began to see creativity as more than just a hobby. I realized it had the power to tell stories, bring people together, and make a lasting impact. That realization sparked my passion for marketing and inspired me to pursue a career where I could use creativity with intention and purpose.

While I was still in college, I took a leap of faith and started my own business, ASW Marketing Design. I didn’t have everything figured out, but I knew I was passionate about helping others bring their ideas to life. Building a business while earning my degree taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of believing in yourself, even before you feel ready.

Today, I work full-time in the marketing industry while also growing my business and building my personal brand as a content creator. Like many people in their twenties, I’m navigating a season filled with change, learning who I am, balancing responsibilities, and chasing dreams that sometimes feel bigger than me. It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has taught me something new and helped shape the person I’m becoming.

If there’s one thing my journey has taught me, it’s that you don’t have to have your entire life figured out to get started. Sometimes all it takes is the courage to take the first step and trust that each experience is preparing you for what’s next. My hope is that by sharing my story, someone else feels encouraged to pursue the dreams that have been placed on their heart, because you never know where one small step of faith can lead.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, and honestly, it’s still not.

I think one of the biggest misconceptions is that once you graduate, land a job, or start a business, everything just falls into place. For me, that hasn’t been the reality. I’m still learning, growing, and figuring things out every day.

There have been moments of self-doubt, comparison, burnout, and wondering if I was on the right path. Starting a business while balancing school, a full-time career, and trying to build a personal brand hasn’t always been easy. There have been seasons where opportunities didn’t come as quickly as I hoped, plans didn’t work out the way I imagined, and I questioned whether I was doing enough.

On top of that, your twenties come with so many transitions. You’re learning who you are, navigating new responsibilities, building relationships, and trying to create a life you’re proud of, all while giving yourself grace to grow.

But I’ve learned that growth rarely happens in comfort. Every challenge has stretched me, strengthened my faith, and reminded me that progress isn’t always linear. I’m still on the journey, and I don’t think that’s something to be ashamed of. If anything, it’s something to embrace because every obstacle has shaped me into the person I am today, and I know it’s preparing me for where I’m meant to go next.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
ASW Marketing Design was built on the belief that every business has a story worth telling. I started the business while I was in college to help small businesses and entrepreneurs create brands that are both authentic and impactful. We specialize in branding, graphic design, content creation, social media marketing, and creative consulting, always focusing on strategy just as much as creativity.

Alongside my business, I’m also building my personal brand as a lifestyle content creator, where I share my journey through entrepreneurship, marketing, faith, and life in my twenties. My goal is to create content that is both relatable and encouraging while highlighting local businesses and inspiring others to pursue their passions.

What sets both my business and personal brand apart is authenticity. I’m passionate about showing the real journey behind success, not just the finished product. More than anything, I’m proud that I had the courage to bet on myself and build something with purpose. I want people to know that whether I’m working with a client or creating content, my mission is the same: to help people tell their stories with confidence and remind them that every great journey starts with one step.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I would describe myself as outgoing but also a little shy at times. Once I became comfortable, I was always the one laughing, making others laugh, and bringing people together. I loved being involved, whether it was through church, school activities, or extracurriculars. I’ve always enjoyed being around people and being part of something bigger than myself.

Being raised by a single mother, with the love and support of my family, taught me independence from an early age. I had to grow up a little faster than some of my peers, taking on responsibilities that helped shape my work ethic and resilience. Looking back, those experiences prepared me for many of the challenges I face today.

The people who know me best would describe me as outgoing, social, funny, and dependable. I’ve always wanted to be the person others can count on, the friend who’s just a phone call away. As I’ve grown older, those qualities have stayed with me, and they’ve become the foundation of both my personal relationships and the way I approach my work and business.
