Today we’d like to introduce you to Thomas Ware.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I originally started my journey in Atlanta working with various music artists. I later branched out and started filming for a show on impact television network. It was an international show with a broad audience. I then migrated into film where I had the opportunity to act in several movies.
I got a chance to act with Housewives personality, Lisa Wu, Clifton Powell and many others. A note worthy moment for me was being one of the producers on the Call Me Now, Miss Cleo movie on Lifetime Movie Network, which gained one of the biggest premieres for a biopic. Soon after, I got an opportunity to break back into music, which was my first love.
I eventually I was introduced to super producer Lil Ronnie. He produced many of the biggest hit records out there. He produced my first record, ‘Love Me To Death’ . The song rose to the top of the Billboard charts and introduced me to the music industry on a new level.
Since then I’ve been working with different producers and collaborating with different artists like Twista, Papa San, and Lucinda Moore to name a few. I’ve released a jazz project titled; Smooth Jazz Collective, a full gospel project titled; The Book of Thomas, and an upcoming project titled; Africa Worship Collective, which is a part of my Nigeria Tour. There are many upcoming concerts and events that I’ve been invited to. I consider this to be my season of expansion and Atlanta has been the birthplace for my story.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As much as I would like to say it has been smooth, it hasn’t. Along the way, I had my share of running into people who claimed to be there for my best interest but really they were scammers. The industry is full of people who are there to get rich off of you. Radio promoters who don’t follow through with your record due to picking up artists who are larger than you.
There’s a lot of competition and people who will sabotage your career to get to the top.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a singer, songwriter, producer, and arranger,
Hit records Love Me To Death, Letting it Go.
I am a script writer, Movie producer, actor.
Biopic, Miss Cleo, Call Me Now, Lifetime Movie Network
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
It feels like God luck and bad luck have both played major parts throughout my tenure. Everything has been a journey of not quite going as planned but turned into a blessing.
