Kash, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always been drawn to creating, but photography became much more than just taking pictures—it became a way for me to tell stories and connect with people. What started as a hobby eventually turned into a business after I realized I could use my creativity to help people capture moments they’ll remember for a lifetime.

The journey hasn’t been perfect. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve dealt with setbacks, financial challenges, self-doubt, and moments where I questioned whether I was on the right path. I’ve balanced other jobs while building my business, invested back into my equipment, and learned that success is less about talent and more about consistency.

Today, I own and operate KashShotItt, a photography brand based in Atlanta focused on creating bold, creative portraits and experiences that make people feel confident in front of the camera. I love pushing myself creatively with every shoot and finding new ways to make each client’s vision unique.

More than anything, I’m proud that my story is still being written. Every challenge has shaped me into a better photographer, businessman, and person. My goal isn’t just to take great photos, it’s to build a brand that inspires others to chase what they’re passionate about while leaving a lasting impact on the creative community.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Building a photography business comes with a lot of uncertainty. There have been times when I questioned myself, invested money I wasn’t sure I’d get back, and had to balance other jobs while trying to grow my brand. Like many creatives, I’ve dealt with slow seasons, difficult clients, and the pressure of standing out in a competitive industry.

More recently, I was involved in a serious car accident that forced me to slow down and reminded me how quickly life can change. It reinforced something I’ve always believed that every opportunity matters, and you can’t take tomorrow for granted.

Every obstacle has taught me something. They’ve made me more disciplined, more intentional with my work, and more appreciative of every client who trusts me with their moments. Looking back, I wouldn’t trade the challenges because they’ve helped shape both my business and the person behind the camera.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a portrait and lifestyle photographer based in Atlanta and the owner of KashShotItt. I specialize in creating images that feel cinematic, intentional, and personal. Whether it’s a birthday shoot, branding session, creative editorial, or special milestone, my goal is always the same, to create photographs that people genuinely connect with and feel proud to share.

What I’m most proud of is the experience I provide. A lot of people tell me they aren’t comfortable in front of a camera, so I take the time to direct, encourage, and help them feel confident throughout the session. By the end, they’re not just walking away with great photos, they’ve had an experience that changes how they see themselves.

I think what sets me apart is that I don’t believe in creating the same shoot over and over. I enjoy developing fresh concepts, building unique sets, and finding creative ways to tell each client’s story. Every session is an opportunity to create something different, and that’s what continues to push me as an artist.

At the end of the day, I want KashShotItt to be known for more than great photography. I want people to remember the creativity, the professionalism, and how they felt when they stepped in front of my camera. Those are the things that last long after the photos are delivered.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that consistency will take you further than talent ever will. There are going to be slow seasons, setbacks, and moments where you question yourself, but growth comes from continuing to show up even when things aren’t going the way you planned.

I’ve also learned that success isn’t just measured by awards, followers, or bookings. It’s measured by the impact you leave on people. As a photographer, I want every client to walk away feeling more confident than when they arrived. If I can create images that people cherish for years while making them feel seen in the moment, then I’ve done my job.

Most importantly, I’ve learned to trust the process. Every challenge, every mistake, and every opportunity has played a role in shaping who I am today. I’m still learning, still growing, and that’s what keeps me excited about what’s ahead.
