Hi LOVETEDDY., thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.

The journey started under the name KoVu, releasing early projects like Playboi and Diffy. Those records captured the beginning of me finding my voice, building an audience independently, and performing hundreds of shows over several years

Then came a reset.

Rather than staying in the same lane, KoVu evolved into LOVETEDDY. not just a new name, but a new identity. The music shifted toward a blend of melodic hip-hop, pop hooks, nostalgic proud , and modern 808s, creating something more personal and emotionally driven.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road definitely wasn’t smooth. Rebranding from KoVu to LOVETEDDY meant walking away from years of work and taking a chance on a vision I truly believed in. There were times when it felt like I was losing momentum, but I knew I wanted to build something that represented me long-term instead of holding onto something that no longer fit. Rebuilding the fanbase wasn’t easy, but seeing CUDDLEGANG grow around the LOVETEDDY identity has made every setback worth it. The struggle reminded me that sometimes you have to start over to build something that’s stronger and more meaningful.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an independent artist and creative who believes music is about building a world, not just releasing songs. Through LOVETEDDY, I’ve created an identity centered around comfort, nostalgia, vulnerability, and community. That extends beyond the music into the visuals, storytelling, merchandise, and the fan community I call CUDDLEGANG

I’ve continued to grow organically, reaching thousands of monthly listeners while staying true to my vision instead of chasing trends.

What sets me apart is that every project feels intentional. Whether it’s a music video, an album rollout, or the world surrounding each release, I want people to feel like they’re stepping into something bigger than a playlist. My goal has always been to create a place where people feel understood, accepted, and inspired to embrace who they are.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think the music industry is moving toward artists who build genuine communities rather than just chasing viral moments. Streaming and social media have made it easier than ever to release music, but they’ve also made authenticity more valuable because fans can tell when something is real. Over the next 5–10 years, I think the artists who create experiences, tell meaningful stories, and build loyal fanbases will have the most longevity. AI and technology will continue to change how music is made, but I believe people will always connect most with human emotion and honest storytelling. That’s the direction I want LOVETEDDY to continue growing in.
