Meet Michael “DarkSyde” McClenton of DarkSyde Entertainment Studios

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael “DarkSyde” McClenton.

Hi Michael “DarkSyde”, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started doing music in 2021 as part of a music group called The Balanced Ones. I started out as a songwriter and picked up production in 2022, and have been producing ever since. Once I got into college, that’s where I was able to focus on my solo career more. I started producing, mixing and developing artists all over campus and through the city of Atlanta and have been able to work with so many different and diverse artists and genres. Through that I also learned about sync licensing, and how to get music put to television. With lots of networking and consistency, I have been able to get my music placed on ESPN, NFL, MLB, WWE, and HBO Max just to name a few.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been many bumps in the road, from being constantly overlooked, to my studio flooding a few times, to having to learn production because my producer at the time ghosted my music group, there has been a lot of things that could have derailed my path to what I wanted to do, but choosing to stay consistent helped me get through those times.

We’ve been impressed with DarkSyde Entertainment Studios, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
DarkSyde Entertainment Studios is my recording studio that I started in 2024. We specialize in production, engineering and artist development. no matter what genre, style, or experience level, we can work with them to create a finished product and/or take an artist next level. Services include:
