Today we’d like to introduce you to Maxine Lund.
Hi Maxine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always loved helping people feel confident. Before getting into aesthetics, I spent five years working for Chanel Beauty while I was in college, where I discovered how much I enjoyed connecting with women and helping them feel their best.
Almost seven years ago, I found my passion in medical aesthetics. My own struggles with acne, pigment, redness, and hormonal skin changes gave me a firsthand understanding of how much our skin impacts our confidence. That experience has shaped the way I care for my patients and is why I believe every treatment should be personalized.
As my career grew, I became fascinated by laser technology, which led me to become a Sciton Luminary. Today, I have the opportunity to treat patients while also educating other providers on advanced laser treatments.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have a career that combines science, technology, and artistry while helping people feel more confident in their own skin. For me, it’s always been about more than great skin. It’s about giving people confidence that carries into every part of their lives.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. Like many people in this field, I’ve had moments of doubt. Building confidence as a provider takes time, and there’s always more to learn.
I’ve realized there really is no finish line. Growth comes from continuing your education, gaining experience, and learning from every patient you treat. Every challenge has made me a better practitioner.
No one’s journey is perfect. My own skin struggles have given me a deeper sense of empathy and have fueled my passion for helping others feel confident in their own skin.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a medical aesthetician, advanced laser practitioner, and Sciton Luminary specializing in corrective skincare and advanced laser treatments. I treat everything from acne scars and pigment to redness and overall skin rejuvenation.
What sets me apart is my personalized approach. I believe great results come from combining advanced technology, medical grade skincare, and patient education. Every treatment plan is customized because every patient’s skin is different.
I’m most proud of becoming a Sciton Luminary and having the opportunity to educate other providers while continuing to help my own patients achieve healthy, confident skin.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think we’re moving toward a more natural, results driven approach. Patients are becoming more educated and are investing in treatments that actually improve skin health rather than simply masking concerns.
I also see technology continuing to evolve, especially in laser treatments. Devices are becoming safer, more effective, and able to treat a wider range of skin types and concerns. At the same time, I think there will be a bigger focus on prevention, long term skin health, and personalized treatment plans instead of chasing quick fixes or trends.
