Hi Mel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started with a passion for creating experiences that bring people together. Over the years, I’ve worn a lot of hats—from working in hospitality and restaurant management to building my own businesses and creative brands. Those experiences taught me leadership, customer service, and the importance of creating memorable moments. Today, I’m focused on growing my businesses, producing unique events, and continuing to build brands that reflect my creativity, work ethic, and love for community. Every step of my journey has been about turning ideas into reality and creating opportunities for myself and the people around me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Moving from Detroit to Atlanta meant starting over from scratch. I had to build a new network, create opportunities for myself, and prove myself in a new city without the support system I grew up with. There were financial challenges, moments of self-doubt, and times when I had to juggle multiple jobs and responsibilities just to keep my dreams alive.

Those struggles taught me resilience, consistency, and how to bet on myself. Every setback became a lesson, and instead of giving up, I used each challenge as motivation to keep building. Looking back, those difficult moments shaped the entrepreneur and leader I am today.

I’m known as Mel Keith a model, rapper, actor, entrepreneur, and the owner of Hoochie Hookah. I specialize in creating unforgettable experiences by blending entertainment, hospitality, and branding into everything I do. Whether I’m performing, modeling, acting, or bringing my hookah business to events, my goal is always to leave a lasting impression.

What I’m most proud of is building my brand from the ground up and turning my creativity into multiple business opportunities. I’ve never been afraid to reinvent myself or step into new spaces, and that’s helped me grow both personally and professionally.

What sets me apart is my versatility. I don’t limit myself to one lane. I can command a stage, build a business, connect with people, and create memorable experiences all while staying true to who I am. Everything I do reflects my passion, authenticity, and determination to inspire others to chase their dreams without fear.

What matters most to me is creating a legacy that inspires others to believe in themselves. I want people to see that no matter where you come from or what obstacles you face, you can build the life you dream of through hard work, faith, and consistency.
