Daily Inspiration: Meet Pop Up

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pop Up.

Hi Pop Up, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Our story began with the thought of helping people connect and how we could form a community that supports one another. The thought for Pop Up was to develop a metaphorical and physically place for people to bond over shared creative interests as it pertains to all types of media. We got where we are today by consistently showing love to a city who at times can be cruel. Most importantly, continuous prayer and focus played the biggest part in our journey.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
We won’t say it hasn’t been a smooth road, but we won’t paint the illusion for you that it hasn’t come with its fair share of rough patches. Contrary to popular belief, they actually happen to be some of our favorite moments of the entrepreneurial life because we are both natural born problem solvers/innovative thinkers. From dealing with the sun’s effect on an outside event to maintaining an online presence through the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to persevere and stay resilient through the struggles. Not being able to go out and find pieces physically could’ve hindered business, but it caused us to have to put more emphasis on online content & shopping which we were successful at overall.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Outside of operating as a 90’s/2000’s clothing store putting “Swag in Your Bag” as we like to say, Pop Up serves as a platform to creatives of all artistic backgrounds. We specialize in advertisement and promotion through personalized digital content & graphic designs. We pride ourselves on being unconventional, intentional, & original when it comes to our marketing and we truly believe our forward thinking separates us from the rest. No two promotions/advertisements look the same and we’re dedicated to producing consistent content weekly. Through our platform we maximize the opportunity to network, express yourself, and grow your up & coming small business into a BOLD big brand.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Our personalities were very similar which is how we became best friends in middle school. We both had a passion for fashion and expressed ourselves through our own unique styles: Peyton had a love for Nike’s SB Dunks & Adidas, while I never grew tired of Polo by Ralph Lauren & New Balance. We both were a balance of outgoing yet laid back, humorous, adventurous and ultimately independent with a sense of drive that wouldn’t allow us to settle for the conventional lifestyle approach.
