Today we’d like to introduce you to Shekira.

Hi Shekira, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started creating content when YouTube was less popular and less initiative was needed to be successful on the platform, I wish I had known then what I know now, I wasn’t serious about producing content so consistency was little to none, During the pandemic, like everyone else I was home with little to do, posted videos and saw how much love and feedback I received so I kept going, and as I poured into my channel/content, I saw the fruits of my labor which motivated me to continue with this journey. Consistency has paid off and I know that it’s only up from here.

I have recently started a second YouTube channel, Travel Tingz With Kira, this channel focuses on all things travel, budget traveling to be exact, Traveling is my love language and I want to share my experiences with the world, I’m also implementing things I learned from my first channel hoping that those things will help me grow consistently and effortlessly.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Like many, I am my worse critic, I’m also always chasing the next thing, so once I reach a goal, I’m quickly trying to figure out what’s next, once I learned to live in the moment and be grateful for the progression, stop comparing myself, take mental breaks when needed, lessen expectations from others, the road became less rocky and more steady and manageable, I know as I continue to put in the work and remain faithful, consistent & humble, much more success is on the horizon. I have over 1.7 million views on my platform, that’s proof that anything is possible.

I’m Simply Mz Kira, a black optimistic Sagittarius, a mother of four, a Wife, a college graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Supervision and Management. On my YouTube channel, you will find content suitable for everyone! Affordable Fashion Hauls and Confidence building are my main focus, but I love to create content that is relatable and useful.

I’m very entertaining yet informative, authentic truth like no other, it’s never a dull moment, my energy is contagious and many appreciate my delivery. It’s always a good time on my channel. I love that people consider my channel as their happy place when they need a laugh or honesty. My supporters trust my opinions and I strive to maintain my credibility and good rapport.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I’ve noticed a lot more confidence and love shown towards brown girls, curvy girls, plus size girls as well, I hope this will continue to expand and aid in boosting the confidence of other women who may look just like us but lack security.
