Meet Trailblazer Paulette Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paulette Jones.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Paulette. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
An alumna of the illustrious Clark Atlanta University and a proud recipient of a Business Administration Bachelor of Arts degree specializing in Marketing. I am a one of a kind gifted young Christian woman who grew up as an only child in a single-parent home, born and raised in Detroit, MI.

I am the proud founder of Talk Of Fame 101 Online Magazine which I established on October 25, 2011, at the age of 19. Talk of Fame 101 was created to provide promotional services by supporting the “little people”, no matter their niche. My passion is lending a helping hand to aspiring businesses and individuals as often as possible through a social experience with hopes of referencing well-needed services at affordable prices offered by gifted souls. Tof 101 consisted of 7 published issues from 2011-2014.

In 2014, an unfortunate hold was placed on the magazine in order for me to complete my matriculation at CAU. After college, I was set to go off to Nicaragua to work as a bilingual, Spanish, business teacher for the Peace Corps and help with the Youth & Community Development. God saw fit for another journey and I became a mother to a prince, who has blessed my life tremendously (currently expecting baby# 2) as well as a wife to a King!

In February of 2018, at the age of 25, I began hosting Facebook Live discussions just for fun and after noticing the traffic that accumulated I took it on full-time, forming Tof N Da Mix. TNDaM grants me the opportunity to mingle with my supporters and establish an amazing relationship with a reliable foundation through transparency and conversation on topics that most are afraid to discuss.

I am a firm believer in following your dreams, going against the odds, creating your own path, building a legacy and not allowing NO to deter you from accomplishing your goals. As a mother, these are things I instill in my son and I speak over my husband!

I strive to be an active and influential example to others proving that with faith and determination you can overcome any situation. I aim to exemplify progression for the younger generation and assist in building self-confidence.

Has it been a smooth road?
Starting out, I was blessed to have so many people who believed in me and helped to make my entrance into the business world very smooth. After the magazine was concluded and my trip to Nicaragua was canceled things got a little hard. I felt lost because things were not going as planned and what was once so easy for me to do had become a struggle. I had to make an executive decision on what was to come next on my journey.

At this point, it was time to face the truth, adulthood was calling, bills were accumulating and I was on my own. My team was no longer available to help relaunch the magazine so I began my search for a stable and beneficial occupation. I found myself very unhappy, forcing contentment and searching for the next exciting experience. I then realized my happiest moments were the ones I created on my own and revisited that fulfillment by creating a new platform on social media.

For anyone just starting their journey and even those who are trying to do a refresh on their passion my advice would be to keep pushing, even in the moments, you don’t want to. Don’t look at the achievements of others and compare your current standing. ALWAYS be humble and never be afraid to ask questions. Ask questions with the intent to listen and learn and don’t look for a handout. If you are very passionate about your craft, be ready to put in the work. Speak things into existence although you may not see your wants unravel before your eyes.

Everything happens in due time!

We’d love to hear more about Talk of Fame 101.
I specialize in people, the community and support! I provide a platform for anyone with a dream and passion to provide a service of any sort to others. What sets me apart from others that I am most proud of is the fact that I am able to engage in 1 on 1 interaction with some amazing people whose passion is to serve others. Not only do I introduce a new business or reference, but I take the time to actually get to know them, share a side of them most people don’t get to see by bringing out their personalities.

Do you believe your childhood provided you with any experiences that formed who you are today?
Most definitely, I believe growing up in a single-parent home gave me a benefit of understanding the importance of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. It allowed me to self evolve and gave me a small amount of practice with independency, it also provided me the freedom I needed to accept and flourish in my creativity. Also, having a small knit family instilled my greatest gift, love. It groomed my desire to help others.
