One of my favorite passages about suffering is when David said, “It was good for me that I had been afflicted, for if not, I would not have learned Your ways” (Psalm 119:71). That verse resonates deeply with me because it reminds me that suffering carries lessons success never could. Read more>>

Suffering has taught me that failing is ok and it is not the end of the world. When I was out of a job and homeless for over a year I was at my lowest point. I didn’t have a steady source of income, no place to call my own, and I felt like I was failing at being an adult and myself. Read more>>

This is probably my favorite question. I live by the philosophy of ‘Blessings and Lessons’. I don’t believe in success or failure anymore because all of it is necessary to get you where you’re ultimately meant to be. It’s either a blessing that you will receive in the moment or a lesson that needs to be learned. Read more>>

I’ve endured hardships most people can’t even imagine, and through that journey, I discovered an unshakeable truth: I will always make it through and get things done, no matter what. Suffering taught me resilience and self-awareness in a way success never could. It showed me the depth of my strength when everything felt like it was falling apart, and it revealed who I truly am when no one is watching or applauding. Suffering is a choice, and suffering taught me that I could choose not to do it. Unfortunately, this was a lesson I learned, and have seen many others learn, when they hit rock bottom. It’s the moment you say, “Screw this, I’m not dealing with this anymore,” or, “Never again will this be me.” In that moment, you make a choice to stop struggling. Read more>>
