Ali Sultan’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

We recently had the chance to connect with Ali Sultan and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Ali, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: Who are you learning from right now?
Our CEO at Politan Row. He is a great mentor, leader, and coach.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Ali and I am the managing partner for Politan Row Food Halls. We are a unique food hall concept that caters to everyone. So much vibe and culture. A lot of our vendor owners are African American, foreigners, and WOMEN! Just very proud to serve the community the best way we can.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I used to help my father run his small business while I was in middle school. From that moment on I knew I could run and own my own business someday.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Ha! So many times. The best advice I received was “do not worry about what you have lost, but work on how to make it back and then some”.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
My boss, the CEO of Politan Row.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Working lol.
