Leah Gabrielle shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Leah , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Believe it or not, I have been starting my day with a lot of singing lately. It’ll start off with any worship song that comes to mind, then I take off from there!
My playlist on YouTube knows what I like.
I catch myself worshipping for 2 hours sometimes.
I then ready myself with my morning routine, have tea, then jump on my laptop to get some work done.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Leah Gabrielle—a flight attendant by trade, a Cybersecurity GRC analyst-in-training by passion, and a creative entrepreneur at heart. My journey may sound unconventional and a bit eclectic but that’s what makes life fun. one moment I’m ensuring safety in the skies, the next I’m diving into frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001 to protect digital ecosystems. I just wrapped up a GRC certification course and am about to start my first internship in cybersecurity—a whole new adventure in safeguarding information instead of passengers.
In 2022, I also launched my brand, Beacon of Luxury, which grew out of my love for aromas and luxury décor. For me, it’s more than just creating beautiful scents—it’s about curating experiences that feel like a beacon of comfort and elegance in everyday life.
So whether I’m guiding travelers, building compliance frameworks, or pouring candles, everything I do is about creating safety, trust, and a touch of luxury.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Disloyalty, mistrust, selfish ambitions, lies, forcibility breaks bonds between people and love, a deep understanding of self, care and forgiveness restores relationships and bonds back together.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
This is a great question because I do collaborate with smart people in my circle of friends, at work, and in a course i did over the summer. I’ve noticed where smart people are forgetting main and basic human morals and and values. I find that smart people are very technical and that is the beauty of being able hold a large capacity of information. Smart people spend a lot of time in their minds, interacting with data, and technology more hours of the day than they do with people. They integrate with the black and whiteness of technology and forget the grey areas of kindness, patience, peace, and the great power that is stored in love.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
The story I hope people tell about me when I am gone, hmm… I hope that the ones I shared my heart with, the ones who got to know me on an intimate level (friendships and relationships), tell the world that I saw them for who they truly are when no one else did and that I loved them for it. That together, we dove deeply into our past pains, and swam up to our present healing together. How we shared time to be each others mirrors, and to fix the things that were off about us and that we would hold ourselves back for one another, because no one is to be left behind in generational pain and darkness. I hope that they share how i gave a new perspective on life, and that I was able to live in their perspective too. Our differences made us alike and love was always at the center of our ship.
