Today we’d like to introduce you to Kashanti Jones.

Hi Kashanti, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey at the University of Georgia, where I earned degrees in Psychology and American Sign Language. During my time at UGA, I became especially interested in industrial-organizational psychology and had my sights set on becoming an I-O psychologist or consultant.

Since graduating in spring 2025, my path has shifted in ways I didn’t necessarily expect. I’ve used this gap year as an opportunity to explore different interests, gain new experiences, and figure out what I really want my career to look like. I’ve pivoted quite a bit along the way, and each step has helped me better understand where my interests and strengths align.

That journey ultimately led me to my current role as an Educational Consultant at Insight Agency. It’s been exciting to find a position that allows me to combine my background in psychology with my interest in education and consulting. Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a master’s degree in psychology and continue building on the experiences I’ve gained since graduation. I’m still figuring out exactly where the path will take me, but I’ve learned to appreciate the pivots along the way rather than seeing them as setbacks.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. There have been seasons of uncertainty, especially as I’ve navigated my career path and figured out what comes next. But one of the biggest things I’ve learned through those seasons is what it means to depend on Jesus and Him alone to provide for me each day.

Psalm 119:105 has been especially meaningful to me: “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.” I’ve come to realize that a lamp doesn’t necessarily light the entire road ahead—it gives you enough light for the next step. I think that’s where faith really begins: taking steps even when you can’t see the whole path, trusting that God will continue to guide you as you move forward.

Looking back, I can see that He has provided for me time and time again, even in ways I didn’t expect. Those experiences have taught me gratitude and reminded me that I don’t have to have everything figured out. I can trust that if I continue to follow where He leads, He will provide what I need along the way.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I currently work as an Educational Consultant at Insight Agency, where I specialize in creating personalized plans for students who are preparing for college. That can look like SAT or ACT preparation, essay writing, navigating specific classes, or simply helping students figure out what their next steps in higher education should look like. I’ve always had a gift for learning and understanding things quickly, and I love being able to use that gift to help make things more understandable and achievable for someone else.

What I’m most proud of is the direct impact I’m able to have on students. Some students may be struggling academically, feeling uncertain about their future, or simply need someone to support and validate them as they take their next steps. Being able to come alongside them during those moments is incredibly meaningful to me. I see my work as an opportunity to be a light for others and to help students recognize the potential and purpose that God has placed within them.

What sets me apart is my personality and my ability to connect with a wide range of people. I’m naturally personable, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know people and understanding how they learn and what they need. I credit a lot of that ability to my experience at UGA, where I was surrounded by people from so many different backgrounds and perspectives. Those experiences taught me how to communicate with and relate to all kinds of individuals, and I carry that with me into my work every day.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is that learning never ends. There is always more wisdom to gain, whether it comes through our own life experiences, the experiences of others, or through God’s Word. I’ve learned that staying grounded in the Word of God helps keep me on the right path, even when I’m unsure of what the next step looks like.

I’ve also learned to be okay with pivoting. Sometimes we have a specific plan for our lives, and God has something different in store. That doesn’t mean the original plan was a failure—it can simply mean He is redirecting us toward something we couldn’t see for ourselves. Learning to trust the Lord’s process, even when I don’t understand it, has been one of the biggest lessons of my journey. I’m learning to embrace the unknown, continue growing, and trust that every step is part of the bigger picture.
