Today we’d like to introduce you to Sahsheet Yamin.

Hi Sahsheet , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always experienced the world a little differently. From a young age I was aware that I could influence, predict, and sense energy, patterns, and shifts in people and environments long before I had language for it. Over time, that awareness became something I consciously explored and refined.

A major turning point came during my transition out of the Navy. This transition from active duty initiated an intense spiritual awakening and transformation. It challenged me, but also became a grounding force during a time of deep change. That period led me to deeper introspection, a ton of shadow work, initiation, study, and mentorship. I’m grateful for the guidance, influences, and teachers that helped me to understand and navigate what I was experiencing with wisdom and sovereignty.

What started as something deeply personal began to extend outward. People began seeking me out, and there was a clear call to begin sharing my work more publicly. Today, I work as a sound and shamanic energy healer, guiding people through their transitions, helping them reconnect with themselves, and supporting alignment with their truest nature. My work is rooted in intuitive spiritual practices that are shamanic in nature, diasporic/ancestral in influence, sovereign in structure and shaped by lived experiences. While it carries shamanic elements, it is not tied to a particular lineage or closed practice. It is a system and experience I’ve developed called 99Decrees, designed to help people move through life’s transitions and transformations with authority, groundedness, and spiritual empowerment.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I wouldn’t say the road so far has been smooth, but the obstacles have been essential to the work I do. I walk this path with honor, integrity, and resilience and obstacles have helped strengthen those values. One of my greatest struggles has been navigating the balance between humanity and perfection.

In this work, there is a natural pressure to project flawless wisdom and knowledge. I felt I had to be beyond reproach in my personal journey to adequately and authentically uphold my professional responsibility. I believe that my personal values reflect well in my work, but the downside to the way I prioritized achievement and perfection gave way to rigidity and imposter syndrome. I felt that if I wasn’t perfect, I couldn’t be as helpful. I realized rigidity hindered my presence.

Now, I lead with the understanding that my humanity is not a weakness, but a strength that keeps me grounded, sharper in my insights, and more present. I learned that exceptional integrity also meant honoring my very human ebb and flow. Honoring my humanity has made me far more effective and ensures that the wisdom I share is rooted in my lived experiences and not just theory!

Based in St. Louis, MO, 99Decrees is a healing experience for those seeking a spiritual and ceremonial approach to navigating moments of transition and transformation. 99Decrees is like a spiritual pit stop to refuel, realign, and rejuvenate you moving forward with the tools, guidance and decrees that help you to advance on your path.

99Decrees offers private in-person and remote spiritual services for those moving through pivotal thresholds. Alongside Spiritual Wellness Counselor and Reader Aiyote Makhat, our work centers on guiding individuals through transitional periods and low-visibility circumstances with a grounded and somatic approach.

I specialize in the transmutation of spiritual and emotional obstructions to help open roads, supporting the spiritual updates and upgrades that align individuals with their most powerful path forward. I serve as a change agent, guide, and protector empowering others through decree, insight, tools, and ceremonial intercession. I am known for Cord Cuttings and Blockage Removal, Shamanic Energy Healing, and Full Spectrum Protection.

What sets me apart is how my presence arrives during thresholds and transitions. I tend to show up in people’s lives when something is ending or beginning. I am attuned to liminal spaces, guiding people through them ceremoniously with decree, spiritual intercession, and insight.

I’m most proud that my brand is self-authored. 99Decrees carries its own energetic signature, and people can feel that when they encounter it. My work is personalized, intentional, and the work doesn’t end when the session does.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Having a strong sense of self is one of the most important lessons I’ve carried with me. Despite the constant pressure to conform, I’ve found that authenticity is not a choice, but one of my greatest values. My authenticity is such a strong, grounding, protective, and expansive force and teacher. For me, conformity feels like self-betrayal and I move with the commitment to always honor and enrich my truth.
