Hi Surely , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Golden Light Healing was born out of the desire to be a place where people can return to themselves and empower themselves to heal through the support of energy medicine.

As the owner, Surely (pronounced Sue-rel-ee), my desire to be of service in this way has shown up in many different areas of my life. I was a student of the performing arts from the age of four—dancing, singing, theater. So feeling through the body has always been part of the journey for me.

But back in 2017, when my dad had his stroke and was in the ICU in a coma, the thought of “this might be it” had me thinking, is there any way I can support him?

At this point, I was interested in meditation, esoteric teachings, and I had personally received Reiki treatments for my own healing. So I knew about the possibility of energy medicine working, but I wasn’t trained.

I sat in prayer next to my dad and asked, “Hey Dad, I don’t know if you are wanting to stay or go, but if you just need a little energy, then let me help you. I’ll place my hands on your belly, and only take whatever energy you want.”

See, in Reiki, I understood that free will is the most important thing. Universal life force does not harm nor hurt, and it only allows whatever the person receiving allows. That is the universal law.

After that, my hands started getting really hot, and I could feel the energy going into my dad’s body. I don’t know what was happening. I have my theories, but I’ll never be able to prove them.

I could feel my dad’s stomach moving in ways—at least that’s what my hands felt like. My mom sat in the room and watched. I know she was very confused as to what the heck I was doing. She didn’t know I was into “this kind of stuff.”

After that, I felt guided to go to his feet. I could feel his body drawing the energy. The minute I felt the draw stop, I knew, “I am done.”

Shortly after, my dad started coming to. His eyes were twitching, but he was regaining his consciousness.

Was it the energy medicine? I can see how that can be skeptical, but the feelings and experience I had in those moments, I will never be able to explain nor prove, because how can I prove something I was physically feeling?

However, that started my curious-mind pursuit of, “I want to learn what I just did.” I knew someone out there knew.

That’s when I got my first attunement in 2018. Since then, I’ve explored all aspects of energy medicine. I studied healing and psychic development classes at Inner Quest in Alpharetta. I also received my Reiki Master Level in 2024, where I can now teach others how to harness and work with Reiki energy.

I also learned the power of energy healing and tools like crystal healing, along with understanding my internal guidance system—which, from my experience, I am aware we all have, and it is inspiring us if we are willing to listen.

After all, free will to experience life is the name of the game.

I always say it’s similar to a video game. If you have ever played The Sims, you can follow the plan to build, or you can choose to do absolutely the opposite. And why do we do that? For the experience. That’s all.

So Golden Light Healing was created for the individual who knows that it’s their choice to listen to the inner guidance, which I call the golden light within us, to guide you to exactly what you want to experience and heal.

And the way I create sacred containers to achieve this is through energetic therapies like Reiki, Inner Light, Chakra Balancing, or Sound Therapy, or through Intuitive Guidance, where I connect with your team of golden light to bring clarity and remembrance forward.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been an easy road. The field I have chosen to explore is one that can be seen as controversial and not widely accepted. I’ve been supporting clients privately on a part-time basis, but recently decided to take it on full-time.

I think people are becoming more aware of what the human vessel is capable of. Science is even starting to recognize it with biofield and quantum physics. The future looks promising.

Another struggle is one that has to do with faith and religious beliefs. How can I honor someone’s truth and also honor my truth?

The simplest form I could find is that, at the core, we are all doing the best we can. And it is a personal experience. No one way is right, and my offerings won’t be for everyone, and that is part of it too.

Everyone has the responsibility to honor their truth and allow others to do the same, for the experience they are seeking.

My current challenge is marketing. How do I translate a personal/wellness offering that is a spiritual experience to play within the system of a profitable business?

One of the easier ways of understanding this is the importance of investing in oneself. When I go to a any salon, I see people investing in themselves, and they don’t hold back. So, in the same way, when someone is interested in this journey of self-healing work, if they truly want to do it, they will invest.

I use myself as an example. If I felt like I wanted to experience a certain technique or experience a certain therapy, I didn’t hold back. I saved money and followed that inspiration. I wanted to do that work.

And that’s the kind of clients I would like to call forth, because I’ve had people say, “Heal me.” And I’m like, “No, I’m not your healer. You are.”

You have to do the work.

So I’m constantly reminding myself, when I promote a sound bath or a session, I’m not being sales-y. I’m just sharing and if they feel inspired to join they will.

Golden Light Healing is a holistic wellness practice offering different forms of energy-based and vibrational wellness experiences. My offerings are organized into three categories: Energetic Therapies, Sound Healing Therapy, and Intuitive Guidance.

Sessions are available in person or remotely, in private and/or group settings.

**Energetic Therapies**

**Reiki** — A gentle, energy-based practice that encourages deep relaxation, stillness, and a sense of balance. Reiki is offered as a complementary wellness practice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.

**Chakra Balancing** — An energetic wellness practice focused on the body’s seven major energy centers. The session is intended to encourage awareness, balance, and a sense of energetic harmony.

**Sound Healing Therapy**

**Sound Baths** — Pulling from my experience as a performer, I use a variety of instruments to create an immersive sound experience. The intention is to create a space where you can slow down, relax, and allow yourself to rest.

**Vibrational Sound Therapy** — I am currently getting certified to work with Himalayan singing bowls directly on the body, with vibration being the main focus. This experience uses sound and gentle vibration as a way to encourage relaxation and body awareness.

**Intuitive Guidance**

A reflective, intuitive experience designed to offer insight and perspective into your own inner knowing. It can bring attention to patterns, possibilities, relationships, or other areas that may be asking for awareness.
