Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Shannon.
Hi Amanda , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
When I was a little girl, I could communicate with animals that had passed away, delivering messages from them to my family. That was the beginning of my story.
Although I didn’t grow up actively communicating with angels or spirits, that connection was always within me. During the pandemic, like many people, I became deeply depressed and felt lost in my life. Then, a quiet voice inside me said, “Call on your grandparents”—who had passed away years earlier—“and ask them to help you.”
So I did. At two o’clock in the morning, sitting in my childhood bedroom, I cried and asked my grandparents for help. Suddenly, a light appeared, one of the brightest I had ever seen, and within it, I saw them surrounding me. They left me with one distinct message: healing.
That moment became the catalyst that transformed everything in my life. I knew then that angels were real and that they could communicate with us, not only to offer guidance, but also to help us heal and reconnect with ourselves.
As I began my own healing journey, I realized how many other women could benefit from angelic communication. I made it my life’s work to help women reconnect with themselves, find healing, and step into their purpose through angelic guidance.
This journey has since inspired the creation of several projects close to my heart, including a magazine dedicated to helping women awaken their inner muse, and create lives they truly love living.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not. Imposter syndrome was very real for me, and sometimes, it still is. For the longest time, I feared that I would be made fun of or even persecuted for my work. It took me a while to come out of the “spiritual closet” and fully embrace my gifts.
Eventually, I realized that my own fear of being seen was what was holding me back, and one day, I simply decided to move through it. I had already overcome difficult moments in my life, so I drew upon that same resilience as I learned to let myself be seen.
It wasn’t comfortable, but I kept showing up, even when my videos received only a few likes, when relationships ended, and when I couldn’t see the path ahead. Through it all, I never lost sight of my inner vision. Most importantly, I never gave up on myself.
They say faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains, and I believe that to be true. My faith taught me to recognize the blessings within the struggles. I found strength through every challenge, and along the way, I became the woman my inner child would be proud of.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am best known for my angelic communication and consulting. I’ve worked with hundreds of clients, helping them connect with their angels, gain clarity about their life’s path, and navigate important decisions, particularly in their businesses and creative work. I have also spoken on angelic communication and led events where I shared messages from angels and loved ones who have passed, creating space for deeper healing, comfort, and connection.
Over the past six months, however, something within me has shifted. My mission has always been to inspire millions of women, and I began to recognize that working primarily one-on-one was no longer the fullest expression of that vision. I felt called to expand my work through writing and publishing, which led me to create a magazine that carries the same messages of healing, purpose, creativity, and self-discovery now amplified by the voices and stories of women from around the world.
I have always dreamed of creating art for a living, so stepping fully into the roles of writer and magazine editor feels incredibly natural. It doesn’t mean leaving my spiritual work behind; it means allowing it to evolve. I continue to host my signature angel gallery events, facilitate Angel Reiki cohorts, and create other immersive experiences. Now, I am also focused on aligning with partners who can help expand the reach of this message and mission.
What sets my work apart is the way I bring together angelic guidance, creative expression, and storytelling. I believe creativity can be a sacred path back to ourselves, and that the messages we receive spiritually are meant to be lived, expressed, and shared.
What I’m most proud of is my willingness to listen to my heart and follow where I am guided, even when the next step doesn’t seem logical. Living this way has brought me a profound sense of peace. With the creation of this magazine, I truly believe and know that I am walking in my purpose.
What are your plans for the future?
My immediate focus is bringing the magazine to life in both print and digital formats. I see it becoming much more than a publication, I envision it as the foundation of a global community where women can reconnect with themselves and feel inspired to create the lives they see on their vision boards.
Once the magazine is established, I plan to expand its world through immersive retreats, a digital membership, and eventually an app. Each of these offerings will share the same core intention: to provide women with meaningful tools, inspiring stories, spiritual guidance, and a supportive community as they pursue lives filled with creativity, purpose, and joy. I’m also excited to collaborate with more writers, artists, visionaries, and purpose-driven brands whose work aligns with this mission.
When I imagine my own future, I see a life filled with travel, creativity, and freedom. I see myself waking up inspired, creating art, exploring new forms of self-expression, hosting transformational experiences, and connecting with women around the world. I want my life to embody everything I encourage other women to pursue: joy, beauty, authenticity, purpose, and the courage to follow what calls them.
Ultimately, I’m looking forward to living the life I once only saw on my own vision board—and helping millions of women believe that they can do the same.
