Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay Delbridge.
Hi Jay, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
So originally I played football until I was 13 and I had to have emergency brain surgery because had bacterial meningitis and the infection ate away most of my brain after high school I went job to job but my health always got in the way I would have headaches daily and Even had a seizure while driving so that halted a lot of things. I’ve always just wanted to help people and couldn’t figure out how then decided to become a personal trainer and pave my own way and share my story of overcoming adversity through fitness and life
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No not a smooth road at all had many obstacles from brain surgeries to seizure and aura migraines I couldn’t make money or keep a job. And I had a family to take care of
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an audio engineer/rapper and I am also a personal trainer. Being a trainer is my main speciality and I am most known for both. I’m most proud that was able to perform in New York a rapper and I have changed countless lives through fitness and what sets me apart is my humbleness work ethic and my ability to always learn grow and come out on top in any situation no matter what life throws
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The biggest lesson I’ve learn is that things take time don’t be microwavable stay oven ready. If want something start it and always finish no matter what it looks like
