Today we’d like to introduce you to Nelson Kusagah.

Hi Nelson, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always wanted to be a sports photographer but just didn’t know how and where to start from until I met my big brother Derick Agbodza popularly known as Genius Shot It. It hasn’t been easy but we’ve etched our names in the books of sports photography in Africa.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Sports photography is really expensive especially the gadgets. Most people also look down on sports photographers. Accreditation mostly becomes an issue too

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a sports photographer changing the narratives and status quo on how sports stories are told.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
It’s a good thing to have a mentor and a partner because when the going gets tough, you should get someone to rely on.
