Hi Cortney, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Being proud of my 2 year anniversary and having my own wax after care oil.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello my name is Cortney Hendrix, I’m the owner of Skin Glow Esthetic’s Beauty Bar. I’m also a Licensed Esthetician that loves to wax and do facials. Im married to my Husband/Business Partner Wesley Hendrix for 6 1/2 years. We have a son name Nicholas Hendrix and a daughter name Lauryn Hendrix.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I would say My Big Sister Santria Dekle. I’ve always used to practice makeup on her even when I felt like giving up she will encouraged me. She’s part of the reason I’m the Woman I am today. Blessed that she’s apart of my life.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Me being afraid to start a business!!!..You truly got to have faith when it comes to opening a business. I was terrified because I was getting into something that was out of my norm. But I thank The Lord for pushing and encouraging me to not give up. You most definitely have to trust the process.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
I believe you must truly be yourself at all times even behind closed doors. I’m the extra, like to make you laugh, talk about Jesus, and pray for you type of Woman.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
Having trust in The Lord because I know who my help comes from. I also know that this is not my life alone. To continue to let Him lead my life because Jesus know better then me then I do for myself. To know that joy comes in the morning when I wake up is peace within itself.
