Daily Inspiration: Meet Asia Hollaway

Today we’d like to introduce you to Asia Hollaway.

Hi Asia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey started back in 2020, after my family and I moved from Michigan to Georgia. Even then, I knew I wanted to be a star. I loved entertaining, being in front of the camera, and finding ways to express myself creatively.

At the time, I thought everybody had a YouTube channel, so of course I begged my mom to let me start one too! She told me that YouTube was a little too much to start with, but she agreed that we could create an Instagram page. That’s where everything really began.

We started with Instagram and Facebook, and eventually I finally made it to YouTube. As my social media started growing, so did the opportunities and the things I wanted to explore. I began modeling, acting, designing, vending at events, creating content, and trying different parts of the entertainment and business industries.

Along the way, we created Asia’s Closet, which allowed me to explore my creative and entrepreneurial side. We also started our nonprofit organization, Asia’s Closet Angels. Through Asia’s Closet Angels, we began creating events, programs, workshops, and opportunities designed to support and inspire other kids and families.

What started as a little girl asking her mom for a YouTube channel has grown into so much more than I could have imagined at the time. Today, I’m still modeling, acting, creating content, performing, building businesses, and continuing to grow as an entertainer. At the same time, I get to use what we’ve built to create opportunities for other young people.

I’m still growing, still learning, and definitely still dreaming. I feel like this is only the beginning of my story.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I definitely wouldn’t say it has been a smooth road. My mom is a single mother raising me on her own, and everything we have built has taken a lot of time, money, energy, and sacrifice.

People sometimes only see the fun parts—the events, photoshoots, performances, traveling, content, and opportunities—but they don’t always see everything that happens behind the scenes. Pursuing a career in entertainment can feel like a full-time job, and when you aren’t earning enough from it yet to cover all of your expenses, it can become a lot to handle.

There are costs for training, clothes, transportation, events, equipment, photos, and so many other things. Then there is the time and energy it takes to actually show up, practice, create, plan, and keep going even when things don’t happen as quickly as you hoped.

I’ve watched my mom work really hard to make sure I have opportunities and can continue chasing my dreams. We’ve had to figure things out as we go, make sacrifices, and sometimes do more with less.

But one thing we both have is faith that all of the work we are putting in now is going to lead to something greater. We know that things can change at any moment, so we keep working, learning, and believing that one day everything we’ve sacrificed for will be worth it.

The road hasn’t always been easy, but I think the hard parts are also teaching me not to give up just because something takes time.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work is really a combination of entertainment, creativity, media, and entrepreneurship. I model, act, dance, perform, create content, host events, interview people, design products, and work on different business and creative projects.

I don’t like putting myself into just one category because I enjoy learning and doing so many different things. One day I may be in front of the camera filming content or interviewing someone, and another day I may be rehearsing, modeling, performing, helping with an event, or working on a new product or idea.

I think I’m becoming known for being versatile and for being willing to try things that are new to me. I’m still growing and learning, but I take every opportunity as a chance to get better. Whether I’m acting, dancing, modeling, hosting, or creating content, I want people to see my personality and know that I’m genuinely having fun doing what I love.

I’m also an entrepreneur. Through Asia’s Closet and the different projects we have created, I’ve been able to learn about selling products, vending, designing, marketing, customer service, and what it actually takes to build something from an idea. I think learning the business side at a young age is something that really sets me apart.

One of the things I’m most proud of is being able to grow in the entertainment industry while also helping create opportunities for other young people through Asia’s Closet Angels. Our events, workshops, and programs allow kids to showcase their talents, learn new skills, build confidence, and sometimes experience opportunities they may not have had otherwise.

What sets me apart is probably that I’m not afraid to dream in more than one direction. I don’t feel like I have to choose between being an entertainer and being an entrepreneur. I want to do both. I want to be able to perform on a stage, act in a movie, host or interview someone, create my own products, build businesses, and also use my platform to help other kids.

I’m most proud that I haven’t stopped trying. There are still so many goals I haven’t reached yet, but when I look back at where I started in 2020 and everything I’ve been able to experience since then, I can see how much I’ve grown.

I want people to know that I’m serious about what I do, I’m always willing to learn, and I’m not afraid of hard work. Most importantly, I want people to remember that I’m still just getting started.

What’s next?
For the future, I really just want to keep going, keep growing, and keep creating.

One of my biggest goals is to pursue music more seriously. Music is something I want to continue exploring because it gives me another way to express myself, tell stories, and connect with people. I’m excited to keep developing my sound, recording more music, performing, and seeing where that part of my journey can take me.

I also want to keep focusing on being creative in every area of my life. I don’t want to limit myself to just one thing. I want to continue acting, modeling, dancing, creating content, working on businesses, learning new skills, and taking advantage of opportunities that allow me to grow as an entertainer and entrepreneur.

Another big part of my future is continuing to grow our annual ATL Kids Summer Fest and ATL Kids Summer Fashion Show. These events have become really important to me because they give kids a place to perform, model, showcase their talents, meet other young creatives, and just have fun. I would love to see the events continue getting bigger every year and eventually become something families travel from all over to attend.

One project I’m especially excited about is The Challenge Zone, a game show created for kids that we want to bring to television. I love the idea of creating something fun and entertaining where kids can compete, be themselves, show their personalities, and have an experience they will always remember. Getting The Challenge Zone on TV is definitely one of the bigger goals we are working toward.

More than anything, I’m looking forward to seeing how everything I’m working on now continues to grow. I know my plans may change as I get older and discover new things I love, and I’m okay with that. I just want to keep creating, keep taking chances, keep learning, and never stop believing that something big can happen.

I have a lot of dreams, and I don’t plan on choosing just one. I want to see how far I can take all of them.
