We recently had the chance to connect with Deidra Malone – Lane and have shared our conversation below.
Deidra , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity 100%. It takes integrity of all forms to run a successful business and to help it grow in a positive way. One thing that is very important to me is having brand integrity, which to me means staying honest, not doing things for the money but to serve my clients with a phenomenal service, relationship building and educating them on protecting their investment. I believe that having good integrity as a whole will get you into doors and rooms you wouldn’t even imagine. We all get burnt out of energy and we all have different levels of intelligence but integrity outweighs it all.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello My name is Deidra Malone-Lane and I’m the founder of EverLashting Beauty, where I specialize in lash artistry, education, and mentorship. What started as me simply doing lash extensions grew into a passion for empowering women, not just to look beautiful, but to feel confident and build businesses of their own. Over the years, I’ve expanded into mentoring beginner and intermediate lash artists, helping them master their craft while also teaching them how to grow their clientele, market themselves, and create sustainable businesses.
What makes my brand unique is that I don’t just stop at services, I focus on transformation. I’ve created digital resources, trainings, and mentorship programs that give other women the tools to create financial independence and turn side hustles into careers. Right now, I’m working on expanding my digital products and mentorship program so I can reach even more aspiring lash artists across the country, providing them with not only skills but the confidence to succeed.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mom is the one who invested in my lash course in 2016 and inspired me along the way to never give up and to keep pushing. With her entrepreneurship expertise and inspiration I have built an amazing brand and have now been in business almost 10 years now. She has always encouraged me to think big and to be the best I can be and I’m doing just that!
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me resilience in a way success never could. When everything is going well, it’s easy to feel confident, but when you’re struggling, you’re forced to dig deeper, problem-solve, and discover your true strength. My hardest seasons showed me how to keep going even when I felt like giving up. They taught me patience, grit, and the importance of faith in the process.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am fully committed to showing beginner entrepreneurs, especially in the beauty industry, that they can be successful. I know what it feels like to start from scratch, to doubt yourself, and to wonder if you’ll ever make it. I moved to Atlanta for a job I was fired from and had to build my business from the ground up ON MY OWN! No funding, no help just passion and resilience. And because I’ve done it myself, I’m dedicated to helping others see that it’s not only possible but achievable with the right mindset, tools, and consistency.

What I understand deeply is the power of walking in your God-given purpose. When you align your life and your work with what God created you to do, there’s a strength and clarity that can’t be shaken. Doors open that you never expected, and even in hard times, you’re sustained because you know you’re on the path He designed for you. A lot of people chase success without ever seeking purpose, but I believe true fulfillment comes when you follow God’s plan. That’s why I stay rooted in faith and encourage others to do the same.
