Exploring Life & Business with Crazy Mac N Cheese of Crazy Mac N Cheese

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crazy Mac N Cheese.

Hi Crazy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Crazy Mac N Cheese started with a love for food, culture, and bringing people together.
Originally from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, I grew up surrounded by two things that have always had the power to bring people together: music and food. Both have been a major part of my background and have shaped the way I connect with people today. I’ve always believed that a great experience is about more than what you hear or what you taste—it’s about how it makes you feel.

That same belief became the foundation for Crazy Mac N Cheese.
I wanted to take something familiar and comforting like mac and cheese and turn it into an experience people would remember. I always say, “People eat with their eyes first.” Before someone ever takes their first bite, I want them to look at their food and already be excited about what they’re about to experience. That means bold presentations, generous portions, creative combinations, and flavors that live up to what they see.

But Crazy Mac N Cheese has never been just about the food for me. I genuinely enjoy people. Whether I’m serving someone for the first time or seeing a customer who continues to come back, I want every person who encounters our brand to feel welcomed. I’ll talk to you, laugh with you, explain the menu, and make sure you leave feeling like you were part of the experience—not just another transaction.

What started as a passion has continued to grow because people connected with that energy. With every pop-up, event, festival, collaboration, and returning customer, Crazy Mac N Cheese has become bigger than simply selling a plate of food. We’re building a brand centered around great food, good energy, creativity, and community.
My roots in St. Thomas will always be part of who I am and what I bring to the business. The music, culture, personality, hospitality, and love of good food that I grew up around continue to influence the experience I want Crazy Mac N Cheese to provide.

Today, I’m continuing to grow the company, expand our reach, create new experiences, and introduce Crazy Mac N Cheese to new audiences. There’s still a lot more I want to accomplish, but the mission remains simple: make food that looks good, tastes even better, and makes people feel good.
Because at the end of the day, people may come for the mac and cheese but I want them to remember the experience.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s part of what makes the journey meaningful.
Building Crazy Mac N Cheese has required a lot of sacrifice, patience, consistency, and learning as I go. When you’re building a business from the ground up, people usually see the finished plate, the crowd at an event, or the successful pop-up. They don’t always see everything that happens behind the scenes—the preparation, long hours, financial investment, finding the right opportunities, marketing, unpredictable turnout, and figuring out how to grow while still maintaining the quality that made people support you in the first place.

One of the biggest lessons has been understanding that every event won’t look the same. You can have an amazing weekend and then have another one that challenges you. You learn quickly that entrepreneurship requires you to adjust, stay creative, and keep showing up even when things don’t go exactly according to plan.

There’s also a difference between knowing how to make great food and learning how to build a successful business around that food. I’ve had to grow in both areas—learning the business side, understanding my customers, expanding the brand, and figuring out how to turn something I’m passionate about into something sustainable.

But I’ve never lost sight of why I started. I love seeing people enjoy something I created. I love interacting with customers and watching someone’s reaction when they see their plate or take that first bite. Those moments remind me why the long days and challenges are worth it.

Every struggle has taught me something, and every lesson has helped shape Crazy Mac N Cheese into what it is today. I’m still learning, still building, and still pushing the vision forward. The road hasn’t always been smooth, but it has definitely been worth traveling.

As you know, we’re big fans of Crazy Mac N Cheese. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Crazy Mac N Cheese is bigger than mac and cheese to me—it’s a brand that I’ve literally watched grow from the ground up.

I started hustling with a hot dog cart. There wasn’t a big storefront, a huge team, or some perfect blueprint behind it. It was simply me, an idea, a willingness to work, and the belief that if I could make good food and create a good experience, people would support it. I took that cart out, served people, talked to customers, learned what they liked, and kept building.

Over time, that hustle evolved into Crazy Mac N Cheese.
Today, we specialize in taking comfort food and making it an experience. We’re known for our loaded mac and cheese creations, bold flavors, generous portions, and food that immediately gets your attention. One thing I always say is, “People eat with their eyes.” Presentation matters to me. I want you to see somebody walking past with one of our plates and immediately ask, “Where did you get that from?”

But what really separates Crazy Mac N Cheese is the energy behind the food. I come from a musical and food background, so entertainment, culture, food, and people have always gone together for me. I’m personable with my customers because I want people to feel like they’re part of something when they support us. You’re not just ordering food and walking away. We laugh, we talk, we have music going, and we create an atmosphere. I want you to remember how you felt when you encountered the brand.
I’m especially proud when I look at how far that original hot dog cart has taken us. Crazy Mac N Cheese has been able to pop up throughout Atlanta, participate in festivals and community events, collaborate with other businesses and organizations, cater to different crowds, and continue introducing the brand to people who may have never experienced us before. Every event has taught us something about our audience and helped us think bigger about what this brand can become.
That growth has also pushed us beyond traditional pop-ups and into creating our own experiences.
One of those experiences is The Drunken Brunch, an alcohol-infused brunch concept we created to bring together food, drinks, music, entertainment, and social experiences under one roof. It represents another authentic piece of what we’re building. Instead of waiting for someone else to create the environment and invite us in as a food vendor, we’re creating experiences ourselves and inviting people into our world.
That’s an important part of the evolution for me.
We’ve gone from figuring out how to get people to stop at a hot dog cart, to building a recognizable food brand, traveling to different events, developing a loyal customer base, and now producing experiences where food is only one part of the bigger picture.

What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that the growth has been organic. People have watched the journey. Some customers have been around since the earlier stages, and now they get to watch Crazy Mac N Cheese continue to evolve. There’s something special about somebody recognizing the name, coming back to another event, bringing somebody new with them, or telling us they saw us somewhere else and had to find us again.
We still carry that same hustle from the hot dog cart with us today.

Crazy Mac N Cheese is about good food, but it’s also about culture, personality, entertainment, community, and creating memorable experiences. We want to continue expanding our events, collaborations, catering opportunities, pop-ups, and original concepts while staying true to what got us here.
I want readers to know that this is a brand that is still being written. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, but we’re even more excited about where we’re going.
The cart was just the beginning.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I could never take full credit for the growth of Crazy Mac N Cheese because so much of who I am—and the way I approach business comes from the people and the place that raised me.

First, I have to give credit to my grandmother, my mother, my aunts, and my family as a whole. They helped instill the hustler mentality that I carry with me today. I grew up understanding that if you want something, you work for it. You figure it out. You use what you have, you stay consistent, and you don’t wait for somebody else to create an opportunity for you.

I also have to give credit to my home, St. Thomas and the Virgin Islands. There’s a certain pride, resilience, personality, culture, and sense of community that comes with where I’m from, and I carry that everywhere I go. Even though Crazy Mac N Cheese has grown here in Atlanta, there will always be a piece of the VI in the way I operate, the way I connect with people, and the energy I bring to the brand.

My customers deserve a tremendous amount of credit too because they are some of my biggest cheerleaders. When you see Crazy Mac N Cheese growing, you’re seeing them too. They’re the ones buying the food, coming back, bringing their friends and family, posting their plates, sharing our content, telling somebody else where to find us, and pulling up to support us at different events.

That kind of support means everything to a growing business.

I’ve always wanted people to experience more than good food when they walk up to our stand. I want them to experience **excellent customer service**. I’m going to speak to you. My team is going to engage with you. We’re going to laugh with you, answer your questions, help you decide what to order, and make sure you feel appreciated for choosing to spend your money with us. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth time, I want you to feel welcomed.

And then there’s my team. They are some of the biggest cheerleaders I have.

They believe in the vision, but more importantly, they help me execute it. They show up for the long days, the preparation, the pop-ups, the festivals, the crowds, the breakdowns, and everything people don’t necessarily see behind the scenes. They help promote the brand, bring people to the stand, interact with customers, offer ideas, and push the business forward. Having people around you who treat your vision like it matters makes a difference.

So when people see me, I hope they understand they’re seeing a much bigger story. They’re seeing my grandmother, my mother, my aunts, my family, my home in the Virgin Islands, every customer who has supported us, and every person on my team who has helped turn an idea into something real.

Crazy Mac N Cheese may have my name and vision behind it, but its story belongs to a whole community of people.

**I may be the face people recognize, but there are a lot of faces behind the reason I’m still standing here.**
