Exploring Life & Business with Jessica Saint Louis of Twenty311 Nail & Barber Lounge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Saint Louis.

Hi Jessica, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Just an Island Girl with Big Dreams

I’m just an island girl with a big dream.

My journey into the beauty industry began with one simple question from my mom—my biggest supporter. One day she asked me, “What do you want to do?” I didn’t have all the answers, but I knew I wanted a career where I could make people feel good about themselves.

As I searched for schools, I discovered the Facial Specialist program. I was fascinated by skin care and loved the idea of helping people build confidence. I enrolled, and before I knew it, I had fallen completely in love with the beauty industry.

That passion pushed me even further. I returned to school, expanded my education, and added nails to my license, becoming a Full Specialist. For the past six years, I’ve dedicated myself to perfecting my craft. Every challenge, every setback, every late night, and every lesson has shaped me into the artist and entrepreneur I am today. I wouldn’t change a single part of the journey because it taught me resilience, endurance, and strength.

Today, I’m blessed to be the co-owner of Twenty311 Nail & Barber Lounge, our boutique salon in Melbourne, Florida. We proudly offer both nail and barber services while creating a fresh, elevated experience for every client who walks through our doors. Our vision is simple—to build more than a salon. We’re creating a place where people feel welcomed, confident, and cared for. If you’ve never visited us, go ahead and Google Twenty311 Nail & Barber Lounge—we’d love to meet you.

But enough about how I got here.

At my core, I’m still just an island girl with big dreams. Raised by hardworking immigrant parents, I learned early that nothing worth having comes easy. Their sacrifices taught me the value of hard work, faith, and perseverance.

If you asked me who Jessica is, I’d say I’m courageous, intelligent, intentional, meticulous, and a little goofy. I’m 34 years old, and every obstacle I’ve faced has become another chapter in my testimony.

I truly believe that anything you set your mind to is possible. The road won’t always be easy, but discipline will carry you when motivation fades. Consistency will open doors that talent alone cannot. Patience will remind you that everything happens in its own time.

So if you’re chasing a dream, don’t stop. Keep showing up. Keep believing in yourself. Keep doing the work, even when no one is watching.

Because once you make it to the other side, you’ll realize every sacrifice was preparing you for the life you prayed for.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course, the journey hasn’t been without its challenges. I’ve had to navigate work-life balance, protect my mental health, and finding my place in this nail industry . There were moments when I felt like I didn’t quite belong, but those experiences taught me the value of being comfortable with discomfort. Every challenge became an opportunity for growth, revealing the areas where I needed to strengthen myself—not just as a nail technician, but as a business owner and as a woman.

We’ve been impressed with Twenty311 Nail & Barber Lounge, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Twenty311 Nail & Barber Lounge, we’re more than just a salon—we’re an experience. Located in Melbourne, Florida, we’ve created a boutique space where beauty, self-care, and community come together. We currently offer professional nail and barber services, with a focus on exceptional customer service, quality craftsmanship, and creating an environment where every client feels seen, valued, and confident.

What truly sets us apart is our commitment to the client experience. From the moment you walk through our doors, we want you to feel like family. We believe luxury doesn’t have to feel intimidating—it should feel welcoming, relaxing, and personal. Every service is performed with intention, attention to detail, and genuine care because we know our clients are trusting us with more than their appearance—they’re trusting us with how they feel.

We specialize in healthy nail care, custom nail artistry, structured manicures, builder gel, acrylic enhancements, and therapeutic pedicure services that promote both beauty and wellness. On the barber side, we provide precision haircuts and grooming services tailored to each client’s style and personality.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the culture we’re building. Twenty311 was created from a dream, but it’s being built on consistency, integrity, education, and passion. We’re committed to continually learning, growing, and raising the standard of what clients should expect from a salon experience.

I want readers to know that when they support Twenty311 Nail & Barber Lounge, they’re supporting a business built with heart. Whether you’re visiting for a luxury pedicure, a fresh set of nails, or a clean haircut, our goal is always the same: to help you leave feeling more confident than when you arrived.

Our motto is simple: Walk in a stranger, walk out family. That’s not just a slogan—it’s the standard we strive to live by every single day.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My advice when it comes to mentorship is simple: do what works best for you. Everyone’s path is different, and there isn’t just one way to grow.

Personally, I haven’t had a formal mentor. Instead, I’ve learned by following nail artists who inspire me, watching countless educational videos on techniques, products, and industry trends, and committing myself to continuous learning. I make it a priority to apply what I learn every day with intention because I believe consistency is one of the greatest teachers.

When it comes to networking, that’s an area where I’m still growing. Most of my networking has been through local groups and other beauty professionals in my community. As my business continues to grow, I’m making it a goal to step outside my comfort zone, build more meaningful relationships, and connect with others in the industry. I believe there’s always something valuable to learn from the people around you.
