Hidden Gems: Meet JaQuitta Robinson of Pretty In Pink Brow and Beauty Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to JaQuitta Robinson.

Hi JaQuitta, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey has been anything but traditional. I started in the beauty industry over 20 years ago, never imagining that what began as a passion would eventually become a thriving business and a purpose-driven career.
I became a teenage mom, so I learned very early what it meant to work hard, create opportunities for myself, and keep going even when life didn’t look the way I had planned. Along the way, I built a career in healthcare as a National Board Certified Cardiopulmonary Practitioner while continuing to grow my passion for beauty.
Eventually, I combined both worlds and found my true calling in permanent makeup and brow artistry. I became a Master Brow Artist, PMU and paramedical tattoo artist, educator, and the founder and CEO of Pretty In Pink Brow & Beauty Bar. I developed my signature Comfort Brow Method™, which was born from my beauty expertise and medical background, with a strong focus on client comfort, safety, and confidence.
What started with a love for transforming brows has grown into so much more. Today, I have the privilege of helping women feel confident again, mentoring aspiring beauty professionals, educating artists, and creating opportunities within the beauty industry. My work has allowed me to serve clients from all walks of life, including women experiencing hair loss and breast cancer survivors through paramedical tattooing.
I’ve learned that success isn’t just about how far you can go, it’s about how many people you can inspire and bring with you. My story is still being written, but I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come and excited about what’s ahead. I split the time in my business between Atlanta and New York

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. I’ve experienced seasons of uncertainty, financial challenges, personal sacrifices, and moments where I had to completely rebuild and reinvent myself. Balancing motherhood, a career in healthcare, and building a business came with its own set of challenges. There were plenty of times when I had to keep going even when I was exhausted, afraid, or unsure of what the next step looked like.
One of my biggest struggles was learning that being talented wasn’t enough. I had to learn the business side—marketing, branding, finances, leadership, client experience, and how to position myself in an increasingly competitive industry. I had to overcome the mindset of simply being a service provider and start seeing myself as a CEO and business owner.
There were also moments when people didn’t understand my vision or questioned whether I could really build what I imagined. I had to learn not to let other people’s doubts become my limitations.
What I appreciate most about the difficult seasons is that they shaped the woman and entrepreneur I am today. Every setback forced me to become more resilient, more intentional, and more confident in my abilities.
I’ve learned that the struggle isn’t proof that you’re failing—it’s often part of the process of becoming who you’re meant to be. My journey hasn’t been perfect, but every challenge has added another layer to my story, and I wouldn’t trade those lessons for anything.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Pretty In Pink Brow & Beauty Bar is a luxury beauty studio and education brand specializing in permanent makeup, brow artistry, and confidence-driven beauty experiences. Founded from my passion for helping women feel beautiful and confident, the brand has grown into a space where beauty, artistry, education, and empowerment come together.
We are best known for our Powder Ombré Brows and my signature Comfort Brow Method™, a technique I developed that combines advanced brow artistry with principles from my medical background. My experience as a National Board Certified Cardiopulmonary Practitioner has given me a unique perspective on safety, sanitation, client comfort, and the importance of understanding the person behind the service—not just the procedure.
While brows are at the heart of Pretty In Pink, our mission goes much deeper than beauty. We specialize in helping clients restore confidence, whether that means creating natural-looking brows, addressing hair loss through scalp micropigmentation, or providing paramedical tattooing services such as areola reconstruction for breast cancer survivors. Every service is approached with intention, education, and a genuine understanding that these transformations can be deeply personal.
What sets us apart is the experience we create. Pretty In Pink isn’t about simply providing a service and sending someone out the door. We focus on luxury, personalization, education, comfort, and making every client feel seen and cared for. From our signature VIP experiences to the details of our aftercare and client journey, we want people to remember how they felt when they walked through our doors.
I’m also incredibly proud of what the brand represents beyond the services themselves. Pretty In Pink has become a platform for entrepreneurship, mentorship, and education. As a Master Brow Artist and trainer, I’m passionate about helping other beauty professionals turn their skills into sustainable businesses and teaching them that artistry and business ownership are two different skill sets that both matter.
I’m most proud that the brand has evolved from being simply “my brow business” into a recognizable brand with a purpose. We’ve been able to serve clients from all walks of life, work with recognizable personalities, receive industry recognition, and create opportunities for other beauty professionals.
At its core, Pretty In Pink Brow & Beauty Bar is about transformation. We’re changing brows, but more importantly, we’re changing how people see themselves. That is what I want readers to know about our brand: we don’t just enhance beauty—we restore confidence, create experiences, and empower people to become the best version of themselves.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always a strong personality. I was outgoing, independent, curious, and definitely not afraid to speak my mind. I’ve always had a natural ability to connect with people, and even as a young girl, I loved making people laugh, being around others, and expressing myself.
I was also very creative. I’ve always been drawn to beauty, fashion, and anything that allowed me to create something or make someone feel good about themselves. Looking back, I can see that entrepreneurship was probably in me long before I had a name for it. I was naturally a problem solver and someone who liked figuring things out for myself.
I was also determined—sometimes probably a little too determined! 😂 I didn’t like being told that I couldn’t do something, and that stubbornness eventually became one of my greatest strengths. It taught me to keep pushing when things got difficult.
I think the biggest thing about me growing up was that I always had a strong sense of who I was, even when I was still figuring out who I wanted to become. That same confidence, creativity, and determination are still a huge part of who I am today.
