Hidden Gems: Meet Konesha Moore of K. Moore Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Konesha Moore.

Hi Konesha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
K. Moore Events was officially launched in May 2025, but the journey really started long before that.

As the wife of a DJ, I often accompanied my husband, who goes by the name J-Moe the One Man Band, to events and would help out where I could. Being around weddings, parties, and special celebrations gave me a front-row seat to the event industry. While I enjoyed supporting him, I often found myself thinking about what I could do to create something of my own.

One day, while out on a walk getting some exercise, I had an honest conversation with God. I asked Him to give me direction, clarity, and a vision for something I could call my own. I wanted something that would allow me to use my creativity, provide a sense of purpose, and give me the opportunity to build something of my own.

When I got home, my husband and I talked about different business ideas. He shared a few suggestions, and after doing some research, I felt God clearly leading me toward a photobooth business. The idea immediately stood out because it combined creativity, fun, and the opportunity to help people make memories during some of life’s most important moments.

About a month later, I launched K. Moore Events and my website, and I was blessed to book my very first event alongside my husband. From there, we began offering packages that combined DJ entertainment with photobooth experiences and backdrops, giving clients a fun and memorable addition to their events.

What began as a simple prayer during a walk has grown into a business that I genuinely love, and I’m excited to see where God leads it next.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’ll be honest, it was a little intimidating at first. Starting a business can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re stepping into something completely new. But I took the time to do my research, learn the industry, and invest in the essential equipment needed to get started. I focused on building a strong foundation and reminded myself that growth wouldn’t happen overnight. I knew it would take time, consistency, and a willingness to put myself out there to build awareness and attract clients.

As someone who has always been a bit shy, one of the biggest challenges has been stepping out of my comfort zone. Entrepreneurship pushed me to become more active on social media, market my business, and even get in front of the camera. While that wasn’t always easy, it has helped me grow in ways I never expected. Looking back, building K. Moore Events has been just as much a journey of personal growth as it has been a business journey.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about K. Moore Events?
K. Moore Events specializes in providing simple, affordable, and professional photobooth experiences for all types of celebrations and special occasions. Our goal is to help clients create lasting memories while keeping the booking process easy and stress-free.

What sets us apart is our simple, all-inclusive approach. Rather than offering countless packages and add-ons, we focus on two options: a photo booth experience or a Photobooth and DJ entertainment package. Each event includes custom photo templates and overlays, along with the essentials needed to create a fun and memorable experience. Our goal is to make the process easy, affordable, and stress-free while still providing a professional, personalized touch.

What truly makes K. Moore Events special is the team behind it. My husband has been in the entertainment industry for more than 20 years, and together we bring a combination of experience, professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine customer care. We strive to create an atmosphere where clients feel comfortable, valued, and treated like family from the initial consultation to the final event.

What I’m most proud of is building a brand that reflects simplicity, professionalism, and personal service. We may be a growing business, but we’ve built our reputation on being reliable, approachable, and committed to creating memorable experiences. Whether someone books our photo booth services alone or combines them with DJ entertainment, our goal is always the same: to provide a seamless experience that allows people to celebrate, connect, and make memories they’ll cherish for years to come.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My biggest piece of advice is to start where you are and don’t wait for everything to be perfect. It’s easy to feel like you need all the answers, the best equipment, or a detailed business plan before you begin, but sometimes you learn the most by simply getting started.

I would also encourage new business owners to be patient with the process. Growth doesn’t happen overnight, and building a client base takes time, consistency, and effort. There will be moments when things feel slow, but that doesn’t mean you’re not making progress.

One thing I wish I knew when I started is how much of entrepreneurship involves marketing yourself. Providing a great service is important, but people have to know you exist.

Most importantly, trust the vision God has given you. There will always be reasons to wait or doubt yourself, but if you stay committed, remain consistent, and keep learning, you’ll be surprised by what you can accomplish.
