Hi Rebekah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Growing up with two brothers, I was always the one reaching for natural remedies—whether it was a scratch, a cold, or just a need for comfort. That early instinct to care for others led me to massage therapy, and eventually into the world of skincare, where everything came together: the power of touch, the science of skin, and the heart of healing.
Over the years, I’ve worked in both spa and medical aesthetics, always learning and evolving—but one of the most defining moments in my life was losing my younger brother. Grieving his passing opened my heart in a new way. It reminded me how much people carry silently and deepened my desire to create a space where others can feel safe, seen, and truly cared for. You never know what someone is walking through, and I believe God has called me to use my gifts to bring peace and restoration, not just to skin, but to the soul.
Nineteen years ago, I founded Skin Solutions Skincare Studio with that mission in mind. Our philosophy, “Results with Relaxation,” reflects what we offer—clean, effective skincare in a calming, sacred space. Every service is thoughtfully designed to support both skin health and emotional well-being.
Today, I continue this work with gratitude and purpose—using the gifts God has given me to help others feel confident, radiant, and deeply cared for.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being a business owner comes with its share of challenges, but I choose to see them as opportunities for growth.
Over the years, my business has weathered both strong economic upswings and difficult downturns. We’ve faced unexpected obstacles—like a flood that forced us to clean up, deal with damage, and relocate while trying to still remain open for business.
We’ve also navigated deeply personal challenges, including serious illness in the family, which, at times made it hard to stay focused.
Through it all, I believe that counting your blessings, practicing gratitude and resolutely moving forward aids in learning, adapting, and therefore growing stronger with each challenge.
