Inspiring Conversations with Arial Williams of A Gtt of Pretty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Arial Williams.

Hi Arial, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
In my younger years, I’ve always had a passion for teaching and science. I can even remember creating tests and handing them out to my toys. Science fits my personality; it encompasses my precision, curiosity, and attention to detail. After completing undergrad, I decided that I wanted a career that included all of my interest; medicine, science and education. However, after building my résumé, I found out that I couldn’t find what I was looking for. That’s when I created it!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A lot of the challenges were internal because I didn’t see anyone else in my area doing it and wondered if it was possible.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
A Gtt of Pretty (pronounced, “A drop of pretty”) was founded in August 2021 with a bold mission: to make science education fun for everyone. This is done through hands-on medical and science workshops and CTE standards-based learning resources. Resources are created for secondary learners and workshops are for ages 5 to 12. Since its launch, A Gtt of Pretty has impacted educators, students, and future health professionals across the U.S., Canada, and beyond. I’m proud of the impact no matter how small, even simple moments like a student hugging mean after a workshop. These uniquely curated resources and mobile programming, barely exist in my area. We serve families and educators. So far, homeschoolers, schools, and organizations have enjoyed this experience. That’s what sets me apart.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
If it aligns, I’m definitely open to collaborations with other businesses, organizations, and schools. People can support A Gtt of Pretty by seeing if this education is needed within their family, sharing on social media, and sponsoring future events!
