Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlese Walker.
Hi Charlese, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My love for storytelling and production started early. In third grade, I joined my school’s morning broadcast crew as a news anchor. At the time, I was convinced I belonged in front of the camera, but by middle school, I realized I was much more interested in everything happening behind it.
In high school, I began honing my skills in camera operation, writing, and producing, which ultimately helped me earn a scholarship to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I studied Television Producing.
Entrepreneurship was also part of my foundation. I grew up around business owners, including my father, who managed and trained professional boxers. I often helped with the administrative side of his business, giving me an early look at what it takes to build, manage, and promote a brand.
Since then, I’ve continued building on that foundation through more than a decade of experience across television, higher education, financial services, marketing, social media, and creative production. Each chapter has expanded how I think about storytelling—not just as something we create, but as a strategic tool for connecting people, ideas, and brands.
That evolution is reflected in HoneyBee Studios today. What began as a photography and video company has grown alongside me into a creative marketing and production agency where I’m able to bring together the skills I’ve developed throughout my career: strategy, storytelling, production, marketing, and creative execution.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think some of the most challenging experiences have also contributed the most to my growth.
Throughout my career, I’ve had to learn how to navigate very different spaces—from entrepreneurship and creative production to corporate America. There have been many times when I’ve been the minority or “the only” in the room, which can be both challenging and eye-opening. Those experiences taught me how to adapt without losing who I am, advocate for my ideas, and recognize the importance of creating spaces where different perspectives are valued.
No matter the environment, I’ve always tried to lead with curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to help. I’ve learned that you can navigate challenges while still being someone who supports others, shares knowledge, and contributes to a stronger team.
That perspective has also shaped how I approach HoneyBee Studios. I want to build a company where great work and great relationships go hand in hand—and where people feel comfortable bringing their ideas, expertise, and authentic selves to the table.
As you know, we’re big fans of HoneyBee Studios . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
HoneyBee Studios is a creative marketing and production agency helping businesses, entrepreneurs, speakers, and organizations turn ideas into strategic, engaging content that connects with the people they want to reach.
Founded in 2010, HoneyBee Studios began with a focus on photography and videography and has evolved into a multidisciplinary agency offering social media strategy and management, content creation, photography, video production, creative project management, and marketing consulting.
What sets HoneyBee Studios apart is our ability to bridge strategy, creativity, and execution. We don’t believe in creating content simply for the sake of creating content. We take the time to understand the goal, the audience, and the bigger picture—and then determine how creative and marketing can work together to move the brand forward. Because of our production background, we can also take an idea from initial strategy and concept development through production, delivery, and distribution.
Our experience spans corporate brands, small businesses, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, events, and personal brands, giving us the ability to adapt big-picture marketing and production thinking to organizations at different stages of growth.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of HoneyBee Studios’ evolution. What started as a passion for capturing moments has grown into a business built around helping people and organizations communicate ideas, tell meaningful stories, and bring their vision to life. At its core, HoneyBee Studios has always been about doing the work with intention, curiosity, creativity, and care.
As we enter this next chapter, I want people to know that HoneyBee Studios is more than a production company. We are a creative partner. Whether a client needs a social media strategy, an ongoing content engine, a campaign brought to life, photography and video production, or support turning a big idea into an executable plan, we can help connect the dots between strategy and execution.
Our goal is simple: create work that looks good, makes sense strategically, and delivers a purpose beyond the post, photo, or video itself.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are a number of ways to work with me and HoneyBee Studios. We partner with businesses, entrepreneurs, speakers, and organizations that need support with creative strategy, social media marketing, content creation, photography, video production, and bringing larger creative ideas to life.
I’m also always open to collaborating with other creatives, agencies, and brands on projects where our skills and perspectives complement one another. Some of the best work happens when the right people come together, share ideas, and build something none of us could have created alone.
And support doesn’t always have to mean hiring us. Follow our work, share our name with someone who may need our services, make an introduction, or simply keep HoneyBee Studios in mind when an opportunity comes across your desk.
Ultimately, I want to continue building meaningful relationships, doing great work with great people, and creating opportunities for us all to grow.
