Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelley Daughtrey.
Hi Kelley, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Kelley Daughtrey, and I am a creative entrepreneur, recording artist, and founder of MOSAÏQUE ARCHIVE. Growing up in the Bronx, I developed a passion for storytelling, culture, and creative expression at an early age. Music became my first outlet, and under the stage name Mo’Siah, I built an independent career as a hip-hop artist, performing on major stages, releasing original music, and connecting with audiences through authentic storytelling.
Through music, I learned the importance of branding, resilience, and creating meaningful connections. Those experiences inspired me to expand beyond music and explore fashion, media, and cultural journalism. This led to the creation of MOSAÏQUE ARCHIVE, a platform dedicated to documenting fashion, art, and culture while celebrating both established and emerging creative voices.
Today, my work sits at the intersection of music, fashion, and media. Whether I’m covering fashion events, conducting interviews, producing editorial content, or creating music, my goal is to tell impactful stories, build community, and create opportunities for underrepresented voices. My journey has been defined by creativity, determination, and a commitment to turning passion into purpose.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road. As an independent artist and entrepreneur, many of my biggest challenges came from having to create opportunities for myself rather than waiting for them to be given to me. I faced financial limitations, industry gatekeeping, and moments of uncertainty while trying to build a career in both music and media. There were times when I invested significant time and resources into projects that did not produce immediate results, and there were opportunities I missed simply because I did not have the same connections or support systems as others.
Another challenge was learning how to navigate multiple creative industries while remaining authentic to who I am. Building my career as a recording artist while also launching MOSAÏQUE ARCHIVE required resilience, self-discipline, and a willingness to learn from failure. There were moments when I questioned whether I should continue, but each setback taught me valuable lessons about perseverance, adaptability, and believing in my vision.
Despite these struggles, I never allowed obstacles to define me. Instead, they strengthened my determination and helped shape the person I am today. The challenges I faced taught me how to be resourceful, create my own opportunities, and continue moving forward even when the path ahead was unclear.
As you know, we’re big fans of Mosaïque Archive. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
MOSAÏQUE ARCHIVE was born from my desire to create the kind of publication I didn’t see growing up in the Bronx—a platform where fashion, music, art, and culture could coexist and where emerging creatives could be celebrated alongside established names. As a recording artist and storyteller, I’ve always been passionate about documenting culture and amplifying voices that deserve to be heard.
Today, MOSAÏQUE ARCHIVE is an independent fashion and culture publication dedicated to covering the people, ideas, and creative movements shaping our world. Through editorials, interviews, event coverage, and cultural commentary, we explore fashion as more than clothing—we see it as a reflection of identity, innovation, and community.
What makes us different is our perspective. We are not focused solely on trends; we are focused on legacy. We aim to preserve the stories behind the artistry and create an archive that future generations can learn from and be inspired by.
I am most proud that MOSAÏQUE ARCHIVE has grown from a vision into a respected platform with access to major fashion events and industry leaders while remaining independent and authentic. Every article, interview, and feature is rooted in curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to celebrating culture.
