We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kieyesia Jetton. Check out our conversation below.
Kieyesia, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My first go minutes of my day look like me waking up and just being thankful and praying. Being appreciative for everything that I have.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, my name is Kieyesia and most know me by Kie, I’m from Aberdeen Maryland but currently live in Atlanta Georgia. I work in Healthcare it’s a huge passion of mine! On the side I love to cook and help people in my community.
Outside of that I’ve been on a weight loss journey and have been loving it!
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
Who taught me most about work would have to be my Dad, he has always shown that if you work hard you can have anything but to enjoy what you do when you work. He was a huge provider for the family while my mom did in home daycare for single parents that couldn’t afford the big daycare centers so dad held down the family.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Was there a time I almost gave up, yes definitely when I moved from Maryland to Georgia, I moved on faith and came down with no job no place to live for sure just faith that something would come and I ended up staying on a friends couch for like 4 months until I found a place and finding a job was even harder and I looked and applied to so many jobs and I almost gave up cause nothing was coming thru and on the last day I finally found something until I could get something better. But I almost thought I was gonna have to move back to Maryland.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
What would my closest friends say really matters to me, they would say my kids and family, I don’t play about my kids or my Granddaughter lol they would also say she loves to give back to anyone if there in need.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I only had 10 years left what would I stop doing immediately, hmmmm I would definitely stop working as much and take a moment and enjoy family and friends more and travel and just breathe life is so short and that’s one thing I’m trying to work on.
