Kory Isaac of East Point on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Kory Isaac and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Kory, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What battle are you avoiding?
Mental health

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My Name is Kory Isaac and Im a upcoming artist still on the way to success. I’ve honestly enjoyed this journey on the way. I struggle with a lot of mental battles , just trying to overcome day by day. Im currently working towards being a firefighter and get a new career.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
The person who told me most about work is my father , John Isaac. He has always given me the drive and work ethic to look up to. Just a hard working man to be honest.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that has always held me back in my life is the different mental health challenges I face and thinking it will never get better.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire Denzel Washington for his strong knowledge and what he holds in his wisdom.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people tell about how I overcame mental health and became a successful artist who set an example for the world.
