We’re looking forward to introducing you to Layla B. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Layla , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
As of right now, I am not walking a specific path. I feel like I just have so many different things I want to accomplish in life, to the point where it’s almost impossible to say that I am just going in one specific direction. I am just taking everything day by day and focusing on the things that I love!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Layla, but I go by Layla B, and I am a content creator. My brand is called ‘True Crime Layla B’, and it’s all about sharing true crime stories in a way that raises awareness and gives attention to cases that deserve to be heard. What makes my brand unique is that I don’t just tell the stories. I aim to shine a light on the people and situations behind them, bringing awareness to cases that might otherwise go unnoticed. My goal is to create content that’s not only engaging but also meaningful, sparking conversations and keeping these stories alive.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with my mom really shaped how I see myself. She’s always instilled in me that I can be whoever I want to be in this life, and even when I find myself being too hard on myself, she always reminds me to give myself grace and stay kind to myself.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Girl, stop worrying! It’s already yours!
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Honestly, anything I find myself becoming passionate about. My friends always tell me I light up whenever I’m talking about a project or something that really matters to me.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Procrastinating, I don’t think that I would take time for granted. I’d work even harder to make a name for myself to leave an amazing legacy behind.
