Rad Dailey shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Rad, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I wake up and thank god for the day I take a few minutes to actually wake up. I usually like to shower and eat a light breakfast and I get back to any messages or things I’ve missed and I begin the day. Once I wake up it’s hard for me to go back to sleep so I try to be as productive as I can
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Rad Dailey, owner and operator of a small but growing clothing and entertainment brand! Blessed And Grateful entertainment is a small brand based on authenticity and self love. Come as you are but don’t join the movement if you don’t believe in being the person you want to be and want others to think of you! I’m currently working on networking with other creatives and trying to build a management team for other creatives and entertainers.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I constantly see and hear a lot of problems and issues in the world today and I think it’s deeper than the surface but we are in a time and place where everyone is at a surface level, whether it’s within themselves how they view the world so I try to be the example as best as I can be! You see a lot of fake and shadiness in today’s world and it breaks my heart because to me it seems like people want love don’t give themselves love so a lot of us are misguided and unsure how to even treat people and ourselves
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
All the time! I used to be the king of if I wasn’t the best I didn’t even want to continue but as I got older I accepted the fact that nobody’s perfect! Some say MJ is the best basketball player ever but even the best players miss shots! So I always have the mindset of doing the best that I can do and I had to tell myself to get out of my comfort zone and don’t be afraid of growth. Failure and quitting almost always happens right before you start to see the results and start to feel a difference. A lot of us quit something now if a situation says run then I’ll tell you run faster but for the most part don’t ever quit on anything especially if you love it or really care for it! The satisfaction to me is always better than the disappointment of quitting early!
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
My brand and dreams easily I won’t stop until I’m in the position I envision daily and what I know god has planned for me. Just have to be consistent with my myself and constantly work towards that goal small steps towards a goal is way quicker and powerful than just staying in one position
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
For the people that really know me they know that im a good person I just don’t take disrespect well and I don’t like people who aren’t keeping it real especially with me. So a lot of people actually call me an asshole or a mean person because I’m direct about how I’m feeling and thinking and although I’m a outgoing goofy guy I’m also very much a loner I enjoy my solitude and my peace deep down! I would nobody ever thinks I’m a mean rude not caring person because that’s not an accurate representation of myself
