Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Sarai Middleton of South Fulton

We recently had the chance to connect with Sarai Middleton and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarai, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity is super important to me because it’s the foundation of trust and genuine relationships. Living with integrity means my actions match my words, creating a sense of reliability and honesty that people can count on. It’s about being true to myself and my values, which brings a sense of peace and self-respect. Plus, when I act with integrity, I inspire others to do the same, making the world a bit better, one honest action at a time.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Sarai Middleton, a visual artist diving deep into the vibrant world of acrylics. My work explores the interplay of color and texture, creating pieces that invite viewers to lose themselves in the details. What sets my art apart is the way I blend traditional techniques with modern themes, offering a fresh perspective on familiar subjects.

Currently, I’m immersed in a series of paintings that explore themes of memory, nature, and human connection. Each piece serves as a visual diary, capturing fleeting moments and emotions through layers of color and texture. I’m experimenting with different techniques to evoke a sense of nostalgia and wonder, aiming to create artworks that resonate deeply with viewers and invite them to reflect on their own experiences.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
I owe my greatest work ethic to my family, who instilled in me the value of hard work from a young age. Growing up, I witnessed their unwavering dedication and perseverance, which taught me that anything is possible with determination and effort. Their example has shaped my approach to every project, inspiring me to pursue excellence and never shy away from challenges. I am eternally grateful for their guidance, which has not only defined my career but also enriched my life.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely, there have been numerous moments when the challenges seemed insurmountable, and the thought of giving up crossed my mind. However, I’ve learned that true growth lies in pushing through those difficult times, embracing the struggle, and finding strength in resilience. Each obstacle has only fueled my determination to keep moving forward, reinforcing my belief that perseverance is the key to achieving any goal. With unwavering commitment, I remain dedicated to pushing past limitations and transforming aspirations into reality.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am deeply committed to the pursuit of becoming a world-renowned visual artist, a journey that requires unwavering dedication and relentless effort. My ultimate goal is to achieve a level of artistic recognition that allows me to dedicate my time and talent solely to my craft and my clients. This vision drives me to continuously refine my skills, explore new creative avenues, and push the boundaries of my artistic expression. I am determined to transform this aspiration into reality, liberating myself from the constraints of traditional employment and embracing a life dedicated to the creation and sharing of impactful art.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What will you regret not doing?
The one thing I would deeply regret is failing to pursue my dreams and goals. Achieving financial security by the age of 45 is a significant milestone that requires consistent effort and strategic planning. Therefore, I am committed to investing my time, energy, and resources into opportunities that align with my aspirations. By maintaining this focus and perseverance, I aim to create a future where I can enjoy the fruits of my labor and live a life of purpose and fulfillment.
